fuck yes!!! this movie is awesome! i remember first seeing it on vhs when i was in 3rd grade. now we own it on dvd. did you know it was based on a short story? its called Eight O'clock in the Morning. I forget the author though. It's a good story too, even though its only about a page long and is very loosely connected to the movie.

Nothing better on earth than rowdy roddy piper and the dude from the navy commercials dukin it out.
And its near perfect for sydlexia. Not necessarily good, very enjoyable, and ripe for nostalgia.

I met Roddy last year. He signed some sunglasses, but he charges to take a photo with him, so screw that.
I do like the film, but I wish Carpenter had the resources he has today to make it. I also LOVE his blatant social commentary.
