I use to be prescribed a topical steroid for a skin condition I had as a kid.

There's a big difference between that kind and Anabolic-androgenic steroids, but the media doesn't seem to care when they just get to say, "OMG!!! A wrestler died!!! And there were steroids found in his house!!!!! AGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!"

Actually I heard on our local news that they were indeed anabolic steroids.

But like the WWE stated (and something that warrants more than just mentioning), there's no way 'roid rage would lead him to kill her, then the kid hours later, then himself almost a day after that. Sorry; not buying it. But the news took it and is running with it. Front page of CNN.

Yeah I was hearing a theory it might've had something to do with concussions he's received over the years, and that apparently after a while they can start fucking with his mind. But who knows at this point.

Well, terrible series of events, but at least it forced McMahon to drop his "I got blowed up real good" act...

I'm glad it made him come out. Now it just makes his "show" seem even more retarded. Little Kids are probably sitting there scratching there heads, wondering how he's alive. Hopefully this teaches him a lesson. Now what are the writers going to do, they had this whole story line drawn out for a lonnnnnng time. Now they have to come up with something else. I still miss Chris even if he's seen as a "murderer". I still think it was an elaborate set-up.

Don't let your judgment get clouded. That scenario, no matter how much we wish it were true, is highly unlikely.

Here's a super fucked-up piece of news:

Web Time Stamps Indicate Nancy Benoit's Death Reported on Web at Least 13 Hours Before Police Found Bodies in Her Home

An anonymous user operating a computer traced to Stamford, Conn. — home to World Wrestling Entertainment — posted an entry to pro wrestler Chris Benoit's biography on Wikipedia.org announcing the death of his wife Nancy at least 13 hours before police in suburban Atlanta said they found her body along with her husband's and that of their 7-year-old son, FOXNews.com has learned. Employees at Wikipedia.org said the posting went live on their site on Monday at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. Police, however, said they found the bodies Monday at 2:30 p.m. EDT.

I'm telling you...IT'S A SET-UP! The plot thickens...I hope they announce they found fingerprints not belonging to Benoit on the Bibles or something.

We'll have to see what comes back on his tox screen. If he was attacked, I'd think he would have put up a fight.

Chloroform? Would that show up in a tox screen. Also my Pharmacist "friend" said you can kill someone with Insulin injections and it's practically untraceable. Atleast I think it was Insulin.

That's some pretty fucked up info, and the article even tries to tie in the death to Sherri Martel's death the week before.

Serial wrestler killer? Why the hell not?

That is way messed up, maybe Benoit did it himself? He did send text messages telling people where his guard dogs were, and directions to his house? Maybe it was another hint or something? OR MAYBE he really was murdered... WOW! So many theories.

Benoit COULDN'T have done it himself. The Wikipedia entry was edited from an IP in CONNECTICUT. Benoit was in GEORGIA.

Benoit OBVIOUSLY didn't do it, I now throw in the Chewbacca Theory in Benoits' defense, so as you can obviously see he didn't kill his family. I rest my case...

You can mask your IP address pretty easily... I'm not saying he did do it, but he could have.

This is Chris Benoit we're talking about. I seriously doubt he knew how to mask IPs.

Well, now I'm absolutely baffled now. According to Wikipedia's entry on Benoit:
Quote:
Initially reported on Wikinews, FOXNews.com later reported that news of Nancy Benoit's death was posted on Wikipedia half a day before the police discovered the bodies. The posting reads: “Chris Benoit was replaced by Johnny Nitro for the ECW Championship match at Vengeance, as Benoit was not there due to personal issues, stemming from the death of his wife Nancy.” The phrase "stemming from the death of his wife Nancy" was added to the English Wikipedia's "Chris Benoit" article at 12:01 a.m. EDT on June 25,[107] whereas the Fayette County police reportedly discovered the bodies of the Benoit family at 2:30 p.m. EDT (14 hours, 29 minutes later). The IP address of the editor was traced to Stamford, Connecticut, which is also the location of WWE headquarters.[108]

The edited entry only said his wife died. It didn't mention his son, or the cause of deaths. I'm thinking there's a slim chance it may just be a coincidence. Some idiot in Conneticut randomly decides to edit Wikipedia, picks Benoit, writes something off the top of his head, and thinks nothing of it. That's only one theory, mind you, and the odds of Benoit being murdered just increased. I just hope this case gets solved, for everyone's sake.
Notably, I find it slightly suspiscious that the IP came from Stanford, which, acoording to the article, is the location of the WWE Headquaters. Maybe that's just a coincidence. This whole case is making my brain hurt.

IIRC, Connecticut is also the location of JEW. He's always talking about how awesome ROH is, so it's possible he killed Benoit to hurt WWE and thereby boost ROH.

I love how Jericho openly stated that Benoit was going to win the championship.

Also, let's rememebr that the IP is registered in Stamford, CT. Doesn't mean the computer has to BE in Stamford.

True, but your IP is generally provided by your ISP and is based on your location, making it unlikely that Benoit did it himself from a WWE-owned laptop.

Yes, I'm sure the WWE writers are busy as beavers re-writing the scripts for the next year and a half or so.

Another funny note: there are still giant banner ads on Myspace, those stupid "vote X or Y and we'll send you a FREE iPod!" ones, that say "Is Vince McMahon dead? Y or N?" I think I just won me a free iPod...

The Wikipedia editor claims it was a coincidence:

Looks like my theory was right after all.

Here's the latest news on Benoit:

http://sports.sympatico.msn.ca/Pro+wrestler+Benoits+concussions+may+have+contributed+to+murder+suicide/Home/ContentPosting.aspx?isfa=1&newsitemid=46974027&feedname=CP-AllSports-URGENCY&show=True&number=6&showbyline=True&subtitle=&detect=&abc=abc

Apparently he had a lot of brain damage from the concusions he suffered, and three football players who commit suicide had similar brain damage.
