We would need a much larger room and like four officials. We only have one of those things.
Also, 8-player games aren't allowed on custom maps, which is just ass.

I was interested in Splatoon until I realized it was only 1 vs 1 player offline multiplayer. Lame. I want at least 2 vs. 2 or 4 player versus.

Maybe in the sequel since the Wii U just isn't up for it. It's only 30 FPS as opposed to 60 FPS like in online, presumably because it has to render two full screens at once and uses the full maps instead of shrunken ones. I tried it out a few times and it's surprisingly fun, since more time is spent killing the other player than just getting the objective. If you liked the 1-on-1 in Call of Duty, you'll like the one here.
