I am not saying it's wrong to eat fast food, just that it is bad to eat it all the time and most of that stuff can be made healthier by making it yourself. I stand by my comments about most people not understanding the importance of nutrition and healthy eating habits, and how to properly budget for groceries.
I should also clarify that I still eat fast food from time to time but it's more of a treat than a substitution for a healthy meal. Also, as I get older the price I pay for eating fast food grows exponentially. It's not fun to supplement your food with a bunch of tums/rolaids and a bottle of peptol bismol just because you want to eat some fast food that's cheap and tasty.

This was also my main point. It's simple math, and it all comes down to laziness, shitty eating habits and unwillingness to learn anything.
AND YES, THEY WILL TASTE BETTER AND BE BETTER FOR YOU IF YOU TAKE TINY AMOUNTS OF TIME TO LEARN TO MAKE FOOD, A BASIC HUMAN NEED AND BASIC LIFE SKILL.

This I can get behind. I rarely have the money or opportunity to actually eat fast food (it's mainly dorm cafeteria food or canned stuff for me), so I suppose my opinion of it is a bit skewed from someone who eats it more often.

I love how an innocent, shoot the breeze conversation turns into a half-assed lecture about eating habits and the decline of Western Civilization.
With that said, Arby's is absolutely disgusting and the current generation related to Forrest and Leroy Raffel should be tried for crimes against humanity.

Hey, this is the Sydlexia.com forums, where we start arguments and/or give people a hard time over completely pointless shit. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

Wow, this thread sure went from a feel-good discussion to a "you-should-all-be-ashamed-of-yourselves" guilt trip.
In case anyone might have misinterpreted my post, I'm already at a point where eating fast food is pretty rare for me, so when I said "cut down", I meant that it'll be an even rarer experience for me than it already is.

Nah, that's not good enough Methid, according to the forums residential nutritionists, we should not only avoid fast food and anything else we personally enjoy putting into our bodies, but only gain our substance via photosynthesis.

I think I'll just eat the way I want and smoke too. Everyone in my family lives to 90+ years old and have done the same and none of them are fat. It works for me and my family. Fuck calories and carbs and ect. ect. Blah Hal bla... Blah
I was told by a nutritionist that if you cut down on added sugars and starchy carbs, you're doing good. Eat whole wheat once in a while, don't drink so much pop, go for a walk once in a while, and you will be fine. Get drunk!

I prefer the sponge method of absorbing nutrients that pass through my pores via water currents.

I just came back from visiting my wife's family in Nebraska and I'm gonna miss Runza's & Taco John's. Anyone who's ever had a runza or a grilled stuffed taco knows my pain.

I used to be a competitive distance runner. In my prime, I was on the 6,000 Calorie a week diet. Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately for my joints, I'm nowhere close to 60 miles anymore. Way closer to 30 during regular weeks, up to about forty-five during great conjunctions when the weather is nice and I don't have a lot going on at work bleeding into my free time.
Anyway, I just wanted to resurrect this thread now that Jared from Subway is pleading guilty, because I absolutely loathe Subway, and I will use this as further excuse not to eat there.
