I'm not sure what's more depressing, the idea that this could be the straw that ends your loyalty to Nintendo or "this site is for entertainment purposes only, please don't use it to kill yourself."

There are a lot of what if's in life Donny. What if I hit you really hard in the face, knocked yo shit to the back of yo skull? What if I....had you girl gargle my nuts? The fact remains, you are a fuckin mutant. |

Who wants to take bets on whether the new program will be better or worse? Given the last few years of how Nintendo's been acting, it could really go either way.

I have about 900 Club Nintendo points and I've been holding off on spending them because all of the 3DS downloadable rewards have been either boring crap I would never play or games I already own, so here's hoping these supposed dozens of downloadable games will actually contain something worthwhile.

My guess is the new program is going to be exclusively comprised of deals for people who register specific games in the first month or so of release. For example the free downloadable Wii U game for buying Mario Kart 8. Or the free DLC for Windwaker.

They will also be adding new physical rewards in February. Hopefully those are good too.

I think you'll be better served sending your letter through the mail direct to them. Even if all you get back is a form letter, they'll at least be forced to recognize it, and if nothing else, know you care enough about your account that you went through the trouble of paying postage to let your feelings known.

Let's be honest as humanly possible here....
No one fucking cares.
I got some shoelaces, some cards, a free shitty game or two. Hell half of those things I gave away. In the end, no one will remember this nonsense.

20 years from now on sydcalculia.com, a pop culture site that is focused on our current times, Salconius writes a new article about the awesome rewards once offered by Nintendo-Konami Co. (then called Nintendo) in their mostly forgotten "Club Nintendo" rewards program...

I've got some codes for games that I'm never going to use if anyone wants them. Some bought new, so I know they've never been used, and some second-hand so it's a toss-up if they have.
New:
Wii Sports Resort
Wii Fit Plus
(I don't know if they still accept Gamecube games...?)
Zelda:Twilight Princess
Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door
Used:
Metroid Prime 3
Punch-Out!!
Zelda: Phantom Hourglass: (DS)
(Gamecube)
1080* Avalanche
Starfox Assault

I just signed up for a Nintendo Club account about 3 months ago after going to a Game Stop and opening up game cases to take pictures of every code I could get. I ended up getting about 1500 coins. Fuck you, Nintendo. They've burned too many bridges with me these last few years.

I'd be all sad if they hadn't said they're replacing it with something else. A rose by any other name and all that.

Is this illegal? If it's not, this is genius.

It's unethical, not illegal. Also, you can only register any title once for points.

I also have 3DS codes for Animal Crossing New Leaf, Fire Emblem Awakening, and Super Smash Brothers if anyone would like them. Just let me know here.

Preng, if nobody has claimed them, I'd make good use of those codes.
And Cam finally has a 3DS? :O

Yezzir! I turned in a bunch of store credit in to a game store and got an XL last summer. Which is a huge bummer since the New 3DS was just announced.

As long as you're taking pictures of codes from used games, you should be good. GameStop sells games, not codes, and most used games they sell don't have them. They make no promises to their consumers about those codes.
Furthermore, GameStop's used game policy allows you to return a used game for a full refund, no questions asked. A person could buy all the games with codes, bring them home, use the codes, and then return all the games and everything would be "above board." There's no actual difference except you don't have to go through a dog and pony show of buying and returning. Ask a gamestop manager about it.
Of course if you're taking codes from new games then you're a dirty thief.
