It's now a New Year, 2015, and I replaced my old Pac-man calendar with a tropical island one. Who else here replaced their old calendars? Describe them here.

I have yet to replace my calendar. Usually I get a Ronald Reagan calendar from my grandmother, which she gets for free for contributing to the Reagan Ranch/Young America Foundation. This year apparently they didn't send them out though. Sad

I'm still staring at December 2014, and probably will all year.

Doesn't every digital device in the world have a calendar? I didn't know people still had physical ones.

I have a calendar on my phone, but I like having a big one on my bedroom wall. The pictures are beautiful too.

This reminds me, a couple years ago I got a daily calendar for Christmas, there was a page for every day of the year, and it had comics and jokes. Every day you would tear off the previous day's sheet and read the daily joke. I miss having one of those on my desk and will be getting another one.

OH MAN. I almost forgot that Gramma Lexia got me a Grumpy Cat calendar for this year. So exciting.

If you aren't using a Far Side calendar from 1995 you just aren't doing it right.

We replaced Van Gogh, pinup girls, and the J. Scott Campbell Fairytale Fantasies calendars with Taylor Swift, photos from Hubble, and Pictures of kittens with other adorable creatures. We like calendars.

Honestly, I only use a physical calendar because it's given to me. Sometimes it's months behind.

Josh, hopefully you're talking about the Far Side daily calendar. A monthly Far Side calendar would just be stupid. God.

Count me as one of those people who haven't had a wall calendar for years.

I have a sexy fireman calendar that I got from a friend as a joke gift. I put it up in my game room and now that friend gets creeped out when he comes over to play games. He tried to get me, but in the end he only got himself.

I still mourn the loss of the daily Far Side calendars. My grandma would get these for me every year...

I'd be interested in a daily Far Side calendar, but only 2015 and not fucking 1995.

Do they not make those anymore? I remember having them as a kid.

I think they stopped in the late 90s or something. I just google searched it, and found one from 2007 on amazon, that I apparently bought in 2006 according to the site. If I remember correctly, it wasn't the same thing or something.

Are Far Side comics even being made or reprinted anymore?

I don't know, I recently looked at newspaper comics again, there are a lot of the same ones I already know, and some new ones I've never seen before, and they all look entertaining. I should start following them online again. I don't remember seeing Garfield and Peanuts for some reason, and that's weird because all newspapers usually have Garfield and Peanuts.

The artist, Gary Larson, retired a few years prior to the daily calendars ending.

Daily calendars could only be a product of the carefree nineties. I don't think we could have such luxury with today's economy.

I'm greatly enjoying my "Best of DarknessDeku 2015" calendar that I had custom-made recently. It features a quote from our very own DarknessDeku for every month, including gems such as:

They should make a calendar for people that spam their insults and bitching comments in every thread. Fuck it. The same people that keep posting these comments are the same assholes that kept doing it in the past, and kept complaining about shit like being depressed and suicidal. Syd does a shit job of moderating this forum.

You need to calm down Deku. There have been a few occasions where we've tried to explain to you why we have a problem with some of the things you post, and your response is always effectively "you're freaking out and that's not my problem". If you're going to be belligerent, insulting to others, and seemingly refuse to engage in mature conversation, we're going to fucking make fun of your spastic, and frankly idiotic remarks.
