Just finished Secret of Mana 2. Since the playthrough is different depending on which main character you choose, I'll probably be going through it again. It was pretty awesome.

So far I've completed Super Metroid, Aliens: Colonial Marines, Disciples and Gladius. Everyone knows Super Metroid is great. The rest of the games were decent. They were all entertaining but nothing exceptional.

Transistor. I highly recommend it to anyone that has played Bastion. Great art, wonderful music, interesting combat - abilities can be combined and nearly all of them are great/fun to use. I found the plot to be a bit on the uninteresting side, but the game is certainly worth $19.99.

"You have to beat the game" wich is a nice retro indie game that is actually for free. It's like a mix of Metroid and "I wanna be the guy" and i really recommend it if you want some kick ass retro game experience.
Also, Espgaluda and Mushime-sama for PS2. Godammit were those hard to beat.

Resident Evil: Revelations. They came so close to perfection with this one (the atmosphere in the first half the game is phenomenal), but of course Capcom had to mar the experience with stationary gatling gun sequences and stupid action-y BS reminiscient of RE5 and 6. I give it a 7.5 out of ten - when it's good, it's amazing, but there's too much BS that I hated in the other games for it to be anywhere near perfect.

So, I've finished the mass effect trilogy. Killed the geth, even though I could have made peace, saved the krogan, and chose the destroy ending. Killing the reapers was always the goal, screw changing everybody's DNA or controlling them. And I never bought the retcon on the geth, they were evil robots, so they get to die. Shot Legion's smug flashlight face.

Well, I just finished getting a triple star rating on every track and cup in MK8 as well as beating every staff ghost. I guess that constitutes as beating the game.
Also, Hi!!

Just finished Terranigma. I didn't find myself liking it as much as Soulblazer or Illusion of Gaia and I'm sure a lot of that is due to lack of nostalgia. However it seemed very vague at times, kind of confusing on what to do next. A lot of wandering and also the battles themselves weren't very challenging. Then I beat the dark Gaia and that was it. It was okay but I probably won't go through it again any time soon.

Terranigma is one of my all-time favorite RPGs by enix, along with Illusion of Gaia.
Uh ... I finally beat Twilight Princess this year, after years and years of not playing any games whatsoever. I am horrible at finishing games.

I've got Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, Parasite Eve, Super Robot Wars Z3: Hell Chapter, Destiny, Metal Gear Rising, MGSV: Ground Zeroes, Peace Walker, Diablo 3 and the expansion, and Final Fantasy XIII-2. Shooting to complete at least Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor and Lightning Returns before the 31st, and if I get off my lazy ass, Pokemon Y. Dragon Age Inquisition would be nice, but I'm being a bit of a nutso completionist about it, so probably not going to happen. Guess that's slightly more productive than I was last year...

I tried to break out the original Blaster Master the other day and beat it. I couldn't do it. It's been years since I've played it. I guess I'm just not that good at it anymore.

I think it's because video games have slowly been getting easier that I have a lot of trouble with older ones. I can beat the holy hell out of any game from the past ten or fifteen years. But going back, I can't even beat Donkey Kong Country without getting pissing mad.
