I reorganized things a bit again. Community ideas should be posted here in this thread or PM'ed to me (PM targets will change once the development team is announced), and the Trello boards will be able to be viewed and used by the primary development team.

I plan on sitting down over the coming weekend and brainstorming/sketching some ideas in my notebook. I already have a whole bunch written down but I want to go through them and weed out the not so great ideas.

The Trello page doesn't seem to work at all for me.

I updated Firefox to the latest version (which I still don't like) and let everything on the page through the blockers, but all I get is a blank white page (with a blue band along the top)...

I have made the Trello boards private now to preserve mystery and anticipation. If you'd like to be able to view them to gather ideas, I will add you. There's not much up there for story yet, unless you plan on contributing otherwise, which would be more than welcome. Oh, it's terrible!

I searched for "Etch," but it pulls up 8 users. If you post or PM me your Trello username, I will be able to add you.

Oh... I didn't know it was a sign-up to use site, I thought there was a common page that anyone could view. But even so, the rest of the Trello pages aren't working for me either (except the front page). Is there some sort of program or driver used (e.g. .NET, Silverlight, etc.) that I'm missing?

There was a common board to view, but it's private now. Once you're signed up, I can add you to the boards and they will appear for you.

As for programs or drivers, I wouldn't think anything would be needed beyond the basics. All I've come across in the help is a list of currently supported browsers.

I have not forgotten about this, I have just been incredibly busy over the last several days. Hopefully I will have time to post some ideas tomorrow if things work out for me.

Same here. Sometimes I wish I could just freeze the kids for a few days so I didn't have so much laundry and housework to deal with. Of course, I'd bring them back. No Demolition Man negligence here.

I also made a "General Discussion" board, just so we can let each other know where we're at in terms of what we're thinking about, and what kind of time we have. This is going even slower than I initially anticipated, but that's okay. It is summer, so it's probably good that we all have our skin to feel the sun... like Birdman.

Same. I just passed my first round of interviews with a new company, and round two is next week, so I'll be busy doing prep, and then potentially (hopefully) busy moving and starting a new job. But I'm committed to working on this as life settles.

My apologies for not posting any new ideas today. Unfortunately, I got a nasty case of poison sumac so I am just letting you guys know whats up before my fingers get any more fucked. I am hoping I can get it knocked out and be able to post something early next week. I just want to avoid getting any of that poison oil over my notebook or keyboard.

Hopefully we can get the ball rolling more quickly by then, because this is a project I am genuinely excited about.

Sorry to hear about the sumac. I've had poison ivy a few times the last couple years; it's never fun. It's usually taken me about a month for everything to go away. I've been trying to find if sumac is worse. It's the same oil (urushiol), but exposure could be increased perhaps of the outer layer of the leaves are thinner and I saw something somewhere about there being saturated and unsaturated urushiol, but I haven't seen that anywhere else.

I wish you a speedy and eased recovery.

I don't know if everyone with Trello board access has seen, but @om*d had a good idea for a basic plot and I'd like to get at least some feedback and maybe try to spring ideas off it.

Also in case anyone doesn't know, if you sign-in to Trello, any boards with new cards will have a filled in dot on it to denote such. I do not know right now if the same happens when a comment is made on a card.

Also, Etch, did you still want to sign on to view the board? I have seen any "etch-"related names come up in the list yet. Let me know so I can add you.

If anyone else wants to hop on board, let me know.

Let's get these creative juices flowing a bit, gentlemen.

That idea came in a moment of madness I was having the other night. I think it's a good starting point, although reading it now I think I didn't get it across like I originally thought. I think that has more to do with my shitty phone typing abilities. However, the idea is a good central point to base some kingdoms/worlds off of.

I got some energy back and have shedded a lot of skin so I can handle my notebooks and papers now. More ideas coming down the pipeline later.

As an additional note... I still find Trello slightly confusing. I am not sure if I am replying properly and how to then reply to what I have posted without making extra cards or whatever. I guess if I mess that up and it gets out of hand, someone with privileges who understands the organization better could clean it up, but any insight would be helpful so I don't make a mess of it when I start posting a lot more.

Yeah, I had been putting it off because of a hectic last week...but I just signed up as Etch_A_Sketch and I updated all my driver/plugins, and whatnot, and the site seems to be working now.

@om*d: When you click on a card, it reveals its description and there's a comment section for that card. I commented on your recent-most card; the one with that idea on it.

Etch: You should now be able to see and add to the boards.
