Can't be that bad if you make it to 74.

Yeah, but James Avery died in 2013, not 2014. Sideway posted it in the 2013 thread.

Artist Greg Martin passed away several days ago, not very well known by name, but his art is extremely well known. He was responsible for a very large number of box arts for games on the NES, SNES, Genesis, and Game Boy, with a small gallery of them here.

Oh yeah, I just recently heard about him on SonicRetro.org. I was saddened to hear that he was the guy who did all those Sonic box covers during the 16-bit era, but I didn't know he drew those other game covers too. Never knew they were all done by the same guy.

From WWE.com:

WWE is greatly saddened by the news that WWE Hall of Famer Mae Young, beloved member of the WWE family and oldest living squared circle personality, has passed at the age of 90.

Johnnie Mae Young was truly one of the greatest female competitors to ever lace up a pair of boots. A proud competitor for three quarters of a century and valued part of WWE to her last day, Young truly blazed a path for future female grapplers beginning in the 1940s.

From the moment she first stepped through the ropes, Young established herself as one of the most active and successful female Superstars – including becoming the first U.S. Women's Champion, carrying out one of the most storied rivalries of the time with the legendary Mildred Burke in 1954 and being among the first female competitors to tour post-war Japan.

Sad news about Mae Young, at least she lived a nice long life.

Unfortunately, I will always remember her "giving birth" to a hand. So disturbing.

I prefer to remember her being power bombed through a table from the top of the entrance ramp by Bubba Ray Dudley.

I will always remember the time she showed her boobs at the royal rumble. Nothing on earth could possibly get that out of my brain.

I had no idea Philip Seymour Hoffman had a heroin problem. Damn. He had three young children as well. I feel bad for his family.
