I have also be curious as to how to become an esteemed member of those groups. Not that I would care about becoming a member of their secret group for losers! But can I join somehow? Maybe we need more credits. Heh...

I actually didn't know this, and I don't think it's a mod forum. I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure GatsLikeGotti (I know he's a member because sometimes I see his name as the latest post in that forum) isn't a mod.

Often times, they just do it for fun. Trolling can actually be fun, if you know how to do it. Just go to http://www.dontevenreply.com for a good example.

Or in the case of the troll on my school's nickname committee Facebook page, he's just an old geezer with lots of free time that can't accept other people's opinions because he thinks he is the only one who's opinion counts when it comes to possibly changing our school's horrible team name. Which, by the way, he also has no idea what it is actually supposed to be just like the rest of us. He just refuses to accept that it might change because before the school changed from a private to a state school they won some soccer games while using that name.
