Skyward Sword was awesome. My favorite game in 2011.
I think you play a character named Link, going on a killing spree or something. Just messing with ya!
It's an epic fantasy tale and i think chronologically the first game in the series.
It tells the story of the creation of the Master Sword and the birth of Ganondorf.
It has lovely graphics, very cool NPC's (no shit) and is overall a classic Zelda game with slight changes. Wich works just fine and dandy for me.
But it is a game also about love.
The strong masculin bond between a man... and his giant motherfucking Sword.
Well jokes aside. This list is about my personal favorite NPC's of the game and i hope you have fun reading it!
Also, this list is for entertainment primary.
So don't take it too serious.

Peatrice

Image

Girls. Goddammit... girls. Sometimes i feel like cutting my balls of when i only think about them.
What can you say about them in these modern times? They define themself by rejecting their preset social-role in society
and are therefore a progressiv factor in the social-evolution of mankind, dissolving their pendant, the social-role of men, that
is inseperable linked to their own.
I don't know, i stick to fart jokes when i'm around them.
Well anyways, in Zelda Skyward Sword we encounter on of those specimen called Peatrice.
Or how i call her: The true Zelda.
At the beginning she just hangs around at her storing place with that "bored out of her mind"-look on her face but as the story
progresses she falls in love with Link. Wich is like a real bummer. It's an acutal Love-Story in a Zelda game.
A game that SHOULD contain a Love-Story in the first place. I mean fuck Zelda. She is like Mother Theresa.
Link can be grateful that she allows him to breath the same air as she does, even though he torments himself
by going through tons of dungeons and caves filled with giant bats that want to eat his eyeballs.
Peatrice on the other hand gives herself to Link for what he is. A weird green guy that is obviously mentally retarded because he can't even speak.
And that is love my friends.

The Mogmas

Image

I will take myself the freedom to save one point for not a specific character but for an entire new race, the Mogmas.
In the end i'm a fan of the classic OoT races Zoras, Gorons and Dekus but the Mogmas are a nice new addition to the pantheon of Zelda races.
Their habitat is new, wich is cool, the underground. Gorons live on mountains, Zoras underwater, Dekus in the woods, so Zelda needed creatures
that live underneath the earth. I mean it can't be that there is just no life. That is unrealistic.
Their design is well done, their adventurous-nature likeable and they tend to saves Links ass a couple of times throughout the game.
They also give you a pair of claws wich allow Link to dig into the ground, taking shortcuts or exploring the undergrounds.
Overall my favorite new race from Skyward Sword. Naturally i call them my master race. Yeah. I'm from austria. That's only natural.

Batreaux

Image

Batreaux is obviously a french demon that lives in the lower regions of Skyloft. He is always at home whining about his life and probably
cutting himself with a razorblade.
Well, Link has Helpers-Syndrom so he helps him to find Gratitude Crystals to turn him back into a human being.
As a reward you get bubblegums with ham flavor and old broken childrens toys that are drenched in Batreaux tears.
Oh and a heartpiece.
Anyways. Long story short. Batreaux turns back into a human being (even though he doesn't even look like one in is human-form) and Links saves the day.
As always. Because he is supposed to. No matter what he wants...
Peerpressure Yay!

Karane

Image

Karane is one of the students at the Knightschool and i can tell you, man, this redhead is such a tease.
Always telling you to never enter her room. And then you enter it... late at night... when nobody could hear her scream.
For icecream of course.
Not what you think you dirty rotten bastard!
Well anyways. Kinda have a hard time making a point here. I really can't tell why i like her that much.
Maybe it's her modest way of being. She is not constantly attention whoring like Zelda.
"Uh, look at me! I'm about to get killed by a giant monster! Help, Link!"
Cut the crap missy.
This girl is just honest and doesn't need a man to protect her twenty-four-seven.
She is a knight as much as a girl. Wich i do respect.

The Water Dragon

Image

I shat my pants when i first saw this epic creature of surpreme epicness.
It was so epic that i yelled out:
"EPPPPPICCCC!!!"
And that's how epic it was.

Alright, since none of you jerks didn't even have the courtesy to give me any kind of reaction, i edited the list because i assumed it sucked. Phai and Ghirahim are technically no NPC's and that annoyed me. So i took them out and added 2 different characters.

Ghirahim is one of my favorite villains. He's the polar opposite of Link, who's supposed to be all masculine and virtuous and stuff. Ghirahim is all up in your face and supremely flamboyant in the worst way. You should have kept him in your list.

I'm not a bad enough dude, but I am an edgy little shit. I'll do what I can.

So, my experience with Skyward Sword was different. I forced 15 hours or so of game play while disinterested. Perhaps it was the graphics, maybe it was the story, or more likely it was the way the story was communicated, but I did not find the game enjoyable.

Interestingly enough, it isn't the game's format. I loved other 2D/3D Zelda games, and I am a huge fan of the Darksiders series.

So, related to your list, from what I remember:
1. Peatrice - WTF? - Did you play Twilight Princess? I didn't finish that game thinking that Zelda was a love interest.
2. The Mogmas - Seriously? Why not just say you like Tingle and be done with it.
3. Batreaux - Ok, I'll give it to you, I found this guy entertaining.
4. Karane - Ugh... what a pain in the ass.
5. The Water Dragon - Epic? I definitely remember this guy, but not a feeling of epic. More of a feeling of... yawn. The corrupted Guardian fight in Darksiders 2 was epic. Not the water dragon in Skyward Sword.

Oh, and I don't want anyone telling me I'm a hater, so here's my disclaimer: I LOVE The Legend of Zelda. It is practically my life. Hell, I learned to READ from playing it. So I don't hate it. Or, maybe I do. There's no way you could possibly know.

That said, I'm going to begin my ran--recollection of The Legend of Zelda, one of the best (and most infuriating) games of all time.

I'm going to begin at... you guessed it, the beginning.

RANDOM FACT: After I beat this game for the first time, I went back to the title screen and sat for a few minutes, looking at the title (duh). Then I noticed that the sword sticking into the bottom of the Triforce Piece is not the straight-sword Zelda fans are oh-so familiar with. It is in fact a fencing-sword, like the French (or whoever) use. What the fuck is that for?

Anyway, once you put in your name (which is never used, by the way), you get dumped in the middle of an area you know nothing about. You have no map, no weapons, no methods of defense (no, I don't count that little piece of shit they call a shield. You couldn't block a cumshot from the tiniest balls in the universe with that), and worst of all, no instructions on what to do (that is, if you're like me and don't wait around for secret shit to happen on the title screen).

Now, I, being the young explorer I was, decided NOT to go into the cave. Instead, I would wander around the map until I was killed by the stray octoroc or moblin. After about three times of this, I actually screamed in anger at the television and didn't play until the next week.

When I resumed playing, I decided to go into the cave. After I recieved the sword, I crept into bed and cried for the next hour or so. Then, I finally picked up the controller and started off again, this time killing each and every enemy I found with fervor and animosity roughly equivalent to a dragon setting fire to a village while he has a big, fat stick up his ass.

Anyhow, I magically ended up at the fourth dungeon first. And I didn't look to see which dungeon it was because I didn't care. That is, I didn't care until about the fourteenth time I died. After that, I looked around to see what I was doing wrong, and saw, 'Dungeon 4'.

I threw the controller down (and broke it, I might add), and killed a puppy or two. The next day, when I restarted, I found that bridge to the dungeon-in-a-stump and praised Allah that I had found the first dungeon.

After much killing of those annoying bats, I found my way to both the boomerang and the bow (you know, in terms of number of uses, I consider the boomerang more useful then the bow. Not to mention that the bow is a bitch to use when you're low on rupees).

Now, after I defeated the boss (I learned a long time later that he's called Aquamentis, even though he has NOTHING TO DO WITH WATER WHATSO-FUCKIN' EVER. Remind you of something, Syd?), I felt proud of myself. I beat the first dungeon of an epic game.

Then I learned that there were more. I felt overwhelmed. But, I pressed on. I found the second dungeon, and after I killed another puppy beat that too. I continued in this manner (not necessarily the puppy thing... oh, who am I kidding? The world is at least thirty puppies less) until I was at Ganon's lair.

Now, the final dungeon in The Legend of Zelda is an experience I will never forget. I spent an entire week just finding the silver arrow. And I spent another two days finding Ganon. After I did, I raped that mother fucker like he was Pamela Anderson. And I enjoyed every fuckin' minute of his virtual 8-bit pain. After I was done shoving my sword up his ass, and he poofed into dust like Cartmen's balls, I walked forward into the room containing the flames and Zelda inside them, and I slashed every flame with a feeling that is equal only to the biggest orgasm you could possibly imagine.

And when that chore was done, I watched the end. (And note that the glitch where she does NOT use the name you entered appears both on the NES and ported GBA versions. If you're going to port a highly successful game and want it to be MORE successful, FIX THE FUCKIN' BUGS, YOU FUCKTARDS!!!)

Anyway, I watched the end. And, as I slowly realized that Link would in fact NOT be getting any from little Miss Trapped-By-An-Oversized-Pig, I turned off the NES and killed the homeless guy living under the bridge.

That is the recollection of my first experience with The Legend of Zelda. I love the game, I love the series, but I don't play it anymore unless I have about thirty hours of free-time, and no puppies are in the vacinity.

God dammit LeshLush.

As for Skyward Sword, I really liked playing the game, but there was definitely a few times where I noticed I wasn't enjoying myself as much. I'm not entirely sure why, but I at least know fetching was absolutely boring after a while. And this has a bit to do with it:
Quote:
According to Aonuma and Miyamoto, this should "cut down on the amount of time you spend lost." Moreover, since some previous Zelda games had been focusing on things like story and dungeons, this title focuses more on "fun."

As for characters, I can't really remember more than two of them that were memorable, old as shit Impa and for some reason Skipper.

@LeshLush: What has this to do with anything?

Thanks for that many responses...even if not even 1 was positiv. All i can say is that i really liked Skyward Sword, to me it's one of the best Zelda games ever made. It may not outstand to much, it was just the whole atmosphere of the game. Twilight Princess kinda depressed me so i guess i was just waiting for a more cheerful Zelda game.

I found Skyward Sword to be disappointing. In my opinion there was NOTHING memorable in this game.

I am glad other people could enjoy the game.

Also, don't stop writing, ear.
