My favorite elements of the 90s:
-Pop Tart Cereal
-The smell of my basement (we all know that wonderful "basement-y" smell)
-Blues' Clues blueberry apple sauce
-Rocko's Modern Life, Salute Your Shorts, Nick Arcade, Wild & Crazy Kids, Legend of the Hidden Temple, Clarissa Explains It All, VR Troopers, andAre You Afraid of the Dark?
-Pokemon Yellow
-Having recess three times a day
-Mortal Kombat (and dancing around wildly in my living room during the part where Sonya and Kano fight and "Juke Joint Jezebel" by KMFDM plays, when no one else was around)
-Staying up until midnight playing Princess Tomato, Magic of Scheherazade, Tombs & Treasure, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, and G.I. Joe

Playing outside. I can honestly say those are my favorite memories. The smell of spring time, not caring if you get dirty, walking around with your friends late at night with flashlights, catching lightning bugs, playing hide and go seek, running through a sprinkler...no form of media can possibly compare to that. I get super nostalgic for movies, tv shows and games as much as the next guy, but those can be experienced again (though they're never the same). The feeling of being a kid outside cannot.

I was thinking the other day that I miss that Surge soda they used to have. I'm pretty sure it tasted like crap and I never noticed as a kid, but still I have fond memories of that stuff. Also those Ninja Turtles pudding pie things, fucking loved those things.

Love that movie, and that soundtrack. It was the first music cd I ever bought, and introduced me to many great industrial bands, including local ones from the Chicago area. First time I ever heard Sister Machine Gun and Gravity Kills. And yes, that KMFDM song was incredibly memorable. I remember singing it randomly all the time, including once in my cousin's backyard during a family party, while playing volleyball or something. Got some strange looks, heh.

Dude, I remember a while back when you told me you loved Sister Machine Gun! I meant to tell you a couple months ago, I got their first two albums in a CD store in St. Louis for three dollars apiece.

Heh, sweet. I'm not surprised at the price. They're mainly forgotten now, and folded after putting out their seventh album ten years ago or so. Chris Randall, the leader of the band, seems to be content running his independent label, Positron Records, instead, as well as releasing instrumental, techno/dance style music under the band name Micronaut. I have some of their songs on mix cds that Positron sold, and I've liked what I've heard. Randall did release a solo album shortly after disbanding SMG, but I did not like it. It was too Bluesy with country & beatnik influences.
Hope you're liking the albums. Those are their purest industrial albums. The later ones infuse some jazz influences, and I actually prefer them.
