Is there a way we can get a mobile version of the forums running? The site isn't that bad to browse on iPhones, windows phones, or other mobile devices I've used. But I think it could be better. Would this be easy enough to install or would it be a pain?

I can barely make it around on Opera Mobile. I'd appreciate this if it's worth the trouble.

I'm not a bad enough dude, but I am an edgy little shit. I'll do what I can. |

I would be interested in this. Especially if it made mobile admin easier.

I guess I might as well show support for this.
I would also like the main articles to have a mobile version, but that would be harder to do, and the iOS' Reader function takes care of this nicely. Don't know about any such function for Android or WP7, but I don't have anything that runs those mobile operating systems, and as such don't really care.

What about the default Android browser?
Also, under Opera Mobile for iOS, the articles seemed to look okay, the pages were nicely reformatted for mobile viewing (although it did nothing better than the article view in the iOS browser. However, the forums looked a bit messed up, and text was still too tiny for comfortable mobile viewing, and many of the Javascript thingies like the spoiler/NSFW hide/show thingies and custom things implemented during last year's forum battle don't work right or at all. This is with the default settings.
Granted, I used to but currently don't currently use Opera Mobile, as I have moved from the shitty cellular carrier I used to have, and as such don't need to have on-the-fly compression in order to have pages load sooner than three weeks.
EDIT: Just thought about it, and there might be some difficulty to porting over the spoiler, NSFW, NES and dice tags, depending on how they were implemented. Also, the version of phpBB on this site will definitely need an update.

LOL
You poor fools... if you only knew.
The site cannot easily be converted to a different format. I tried, it won't work without insane amounts of effort. I mean, truly insane. The forum is running PHPBB 2.x We really need to upgrade to 3.x
Also, some of the code will need to be rebuilt. All the bonus BBCode is an example of such code. It is what it is.

Oh mighty GP, why the hell aren't the forums up to date?
Would we lose our awesome 90's web look?

Oops, never meant to ignore this. Yes, I am interested in upgrading the forums. My number 1 concern is making sure that the forums are backed up properly before we start though, so as to keep all the data intact. We will have to discuss this.
