I had to go to Iowa a couple months ago.... Yeah, I just went through the pictures now. Razz Just thought you guys might want to see a few pictures. (I was a passenger on the way up.)

I've lived between Texas and Oklahoma my whole life and didn't need any pictures of them so you're out of luck with those two. Oklahoma has a crazy amount of Indian casinos these days. Confused

Kansas:
The east side of Kansas is a lot less flat and tedious than the west. At least there are some hills.

Kansas City, Missouri. (The Kansas part of Kansas City is really boring. Smile )

And, finally, Iowa.
This is the town we spent the night at. Nice place.

I never, ever want to drive that far in one day again. Laughing

Aw, man. I make the drive from about an hour past Kansas City to Denver every year with my Dad, I know your pain. These are some awesome pictures though.

At least you're not in Kansas anymore.

Cool.

What was your ending mileage that you racked up? And yes, both what YOU drive and the entire trip Razz I love road trips, just curious.

That isn't even the "flat" part. Imagine absolutely no elevation change, in all directions, all the way to the horizon with power lines being the only change of scenery. It's been ~20 years since I've been to that part of Kansas and I still recall the soul-crushing, fatiguing boredom. Laughing

A little over 1,000 miles each way. Smile

Also, even though I didn't have my camera out at the time, I had to show you the new Devon Energy building towering ridiculously over the Oklahoma City skyline. That one caught me off guard. Laughing
