I recently purchased The PAL version of Mega Man the Wily Wars, but naturally when I try and play it on my genesis I get a "warning developed for use only with pal and french secam mega drive systems" message. Does anyone know of an easy way to get around this problem so I can finally experience Mega Man with blast processing?

I think the only options are using a Game Genie or hacking your console to have a region switch.

You pretty much wasted your money. You can't run a PAL game on a US console.

There is a Game Genie code to get around it, so if you got one of those, do a search.

16-bit games seem to have gone in value a lot recently, there are a few SNES games I regret not buying a year ago.

The auction was listed by someone who didn't really know what they had cause they got it from someone else and had never played it. The only reason I bought it was because it came with what they thought was a PAL to US converter. I'm not sure what the converter is actually for though cause it does nothing to help the game play on my console.

Thank you all for the suggestions though, cause with the aid of a Game Genie I was able to get it playing, amazing how something with blast processing has so much more slow down than its NES counterpart.

Heh. Part of it is that you're playing the PAL version, which runs at about 5/6 speed of the NTSC version. But yeah, the game does play very slowly.

Yeah the game running slow is because PAL ports are pieces of garbage, which explains why all Euro-Peons are slow brained idiots with no reaction time. PAL ruined an entire generation's brains.
