Someone recently told me that the manual for the Super Mario Bros., it says the people of the Mushroom Kingdoom were turned into blocks. Now it just feels weird.

I wish they made a Mario style game where all of the goombas were replaced with different plumbers and you play as a goomba, stomping the shit out of them. That would be awesome.

I actually felt some amount of guilt for real the first time I played Twilight Princess when you sneak into the hidden village. You start silently murdering moblins who haven't done anything to you yet, and the fact that they live in a village gives them a sense of humanity as opposed to just mindless mooks.

Yo Syd! I just got stomped by a Goomba!! I was playing Super Mario 64 on Tall, Tall Mountain making my way up to the top dodging those large wrecking size balls rolling around when a Goomba dropped off a higher up part of the mountain and landed on me.
I've never felt so violated.
