Any statistics on those wonky kneeling chairs that you always see in hippie's houses, when they actually have property?

Yep. If we're lucky, maybe they'll at least have nice barca-loungers in the afterlife.
The nice kind please. With the drink holders in them.

"1 in 3 Americans is obese."
Apparently standing more often doesn't make you better at English.
Also, you know what I love? An image macro that cites URL references. Oh, there's citations, so this must be accurate. And since you can't click the citations or copy them into the address bar, who in the fuck is going to check them? For all I know half those links are about the dangers of eating too much zebra cum.
The Reddit comments mock the image and/or argue against it.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending Reddit completely. Sometimes that community can go on a tear and leave a wake of destruction. However, this isn't one of those cases, and for the most part, the site has a tradition of leaning on science and facts rather than taking the word of studies that range over a period of 20 years.

I was reading that and got kind of alarmed, but as soon as I finished I continued not caring and sitting.
Nice try. See you in the afterlife.

Well, I apologize. I don't why or how, but I somehow got the impression that these image things were coming from some sort of reddit clan.
Everything is fucking bad for you. Prolonged standing can lead to problems too. Lying down can lead to being stepped on. Rolling around at the speed of sound can lead to dizziness and hearing problems.
I just worry about the really dangerous stuff. I'm not gonna worry about something that ticks a year off my life, I'm sure something else I do adds that year right back on.
Embarrassed to say it, but I don't think I'm familiar with theme music.
I love all the Sonic/Eggman stuff that's done by hair metal alumni though.
You never really get to hear them aside from Sonic's and Shadow's, which play during the endings. Knux has a remix of his absolutely silly song from the first game.
None of this elaborates on the dangers of standing, either.
Sitting so much may be a recent development in humans, but you know what's a recent development for life in general?
Standing up straight.
Both of my biology teachers have told me that the reason a lot of people get back problems as they grow older is because our spinal cord isn't used to bending the way it needs to for us to walk upright.
So basically, either way you're kind of screwed. We should adopt the manner of walking that primates use--with the help of our hands.

One of my fears, although somewhat dumb, is a fear of things killing me right now that we as a society currently think is totally healthy.
Like when people thought lead and asbestos we're the greatest building materials on the street. Either way, it's not going to kill me today, but I think its the sense of not "having the choice" to avoid it.
I still do plenty of things that aren't healthy and are slowly killing me. Its that feeling of not knowing.

I just can't bring myself to believe half the statistics on that chart. A lot of it just sounds bogus to me. Sitting isn't the cause of increased chance of dying, it's what comes with the behaviors that lead to it.
The kind of people who don't exercise and eat a lot of chips happen to be the ones who are lazy enough to sit all day, but sitting didn't give them heart attacks, it was just part of their overall unhealthy lifestyle. My girlfriend sits in front of a computer most of the day and she's as healthy as a hummingbird. Wanna guess why? She gets plenty of exercise. I don't see her dying anytime soon.
BTW, I have my laptop by my bedside so I lie down on my side when I use it. Does that count as sitting?

It's actually a more natural position for elimination, since you have gravity working for you at a better angle.
