Just got around to playing it after Steam Sale, and it's a fun little indie game. It takes a mix of Silent Hill exploration mechanics and the fight-or-flight gameplay, and throws it into a Resident Evil 2-type urban monster apocalypse setting. There are also some minor survival mechanics like food and sleep, but it's not terribly pronounced. For a 2d game, it's also pretty damned creepy (especially with headphones on).
The gameplay for me so far has been following clues left behind by people while I was out collecting important survival tools like a handgun, can opener, scissors, etc. The story is slowly building up, and has me curious to try to crack it open as much as possible. The whole thing has a surreal feel, and I don't really know if my character is either hallucinating things, or there's a bigger power trying to mess with him.
If you dig survival horror games that are about 65% survival and 35% horror, then it's a fun game that's worth a shot.
So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.

One of my buddies showed me this video, and it definitely looks pretty interesting. I definitely need to be upgrading my computer, but in the very least I'm pretty sure he's bought it, so I will check it out.
Glad to hear that the sound adds to the effect. Some game genres can get by without amazing audio, but I'd say it's pretty important for survival horror games.

So this game is working for me like other survival horror games. I work up the courage to play it, have one long-ass addiction session, then become too nervous to play again. It's a shame, because the story so far is great. It doesn't give away too much, but it's also not pretentiously mysterious. It's like getting a great-looking burger and fries, but only being able to take one small bite at a time.
I seriously am surprised at how scary a 2d game can be. The first monsters you meet can't see you, but they're sensitive to your flashlight. After long sessions without enemies, I tend to get careless and leave my flashlight on, and the second I enter an apartment or something, I hear one of them roar and chase after me. It scares the hell out of me sometimes.
