Robert Pattinson is reportedly "heartbroken and humiliated" after learning his girlfriend, Kristen Stewart, cheated on him with her married "Snow White and the Huntsman" director, Rupert Sanders.
Sources told Page Six that the 26-year-old "Twilight" star may have already known about Stewart's infidelity, as witnesses reportedly saw the couple fighting backstage at Sunday night's Teen Choice Awards, just days before the photos of what looks like Stewart and Sanders kissing were made public.
“Rob and Kristen were having a long and intense conversation backstage, and he looked miserable, heartbroken and humiliated. She was pleading," a source told Page Six, while another source claimed that once Stewart learned she couldn't stop the photos from leaking she was forced to own up to Pattinson last week.
The photos caught the 22-year-old actress and Sanders, 41, who is married to British model Liberty Ross, kissing inside a car and hugging in a park, in what was described by Us Weekly as a “marathon make-out session.”
As damning as the photos may have been, it was almost more shocking when Stewart actually admitted to cheating on Pattinson. The couple have been together for four years, but have barely publicly acknowledged their relationship. In October 2011, Stewart would only reveal to British GQ that her "boyfriend is English."
Some have suggested that Stewart's public apology -- in which she declared her love for Pattinson, calling him the person she "loves and respects the most" -- is simply her attempt to communicate with Rob, who may not be answering her phone calls.
By all accounts, Pattinson took his relationship with Stewart very seriously and some have claimed he was even planning to propose. In a rather telling recent interview with Italian Vanity Fair, he expressed his thoughts about cheating:
"But there's a thing I've never got: That is, why do people cheat? I can understand the impulse, but not how you can keep two relationships going at the same time for long," he told the magazine, later adding, "I'm not the casual-affair kind of guy. If I choose to be with someone, it's because I really want it. When I have a relationship, I'm 100 percent into it."
Pattinson is a pretty cool dude. IMO, Kristen did this because women like to create drama and anger. I say fuck the franchise and the PR bullshit and break up. I've read somewhere that people need to learn to accept someone cheating on them once because it is seen as inevitable. I've heard that in older times you could fuck a few people on the side and get the urges out of your system while still sticking with your partner. Nowadays because of the instant message / real-time media age we live in whenever someone cheats it gets blown up so much that women are pretty much forced to leave their unfaithful husbands.
Anyhow, I am curious on what people think about all this.

I think she just wanted to fuck someone. He could just as easily gotten bored and fucked someone else too. End of story, there is no behind the scenes drama creating or deep story behind this.

I never gave a shit about Pattinson until I saw some interviews with him, and he actually seems like a pretty intelligent guy. He pretty much rips on his Edward character, and any cheesy romance characters he's played. If anything, I look forward to him taking serious roles, but I'm not holding my breath.

Seriously, who gives a shit? Pattinson does seem like a pretty cool guy, but that doesn't necessarily mean that dating him is fun. Cheating on him may be a shitty way to deal with it, but it does happen to normal people and I don't see why we have to stop the presses because it happened to a celebrity.
And in any case, who are you to say that they should absolutely break up? Or that the franchise is the only reason they haven't? Do you know either one of them? Couples work shit out sometimes. "OMG BREAK UP" isn't always the best option, and you certainly wouldn't know about their situation one way or the other.

Yea I am interested in that happening too. Cosmopolis (serious movie he is in) is either a big pretentious fart or something really good from director Cronenberg.

If someone asked me about my opinion on what should be done or play out I'd say that they should break up or will soon anyway after the saga ends. Well because I've always liked Robert Pattinson and because I can relate having been cheated on by most girls I've been with and sharing his same feelings about relationships, yeah I think I'll take Rob's side on this one. Take that shit seriously or get the fuck out, it's not that hard of a concept to grasp; that is, unless you're just fucking around with each other anyway, but then you probably don't care on that level so whatever.

I am 99% certain that Rupert Sanders only cast Kristen Stewart in his movie so he could fuck her. I mean, come on. The bitch can't act, at all, I'm sure there were plenty of prettier and more talented actresses who would have been happy to have the role. But no, Sanders thought to himself: "You know, that Kristen Stewart is dumber than a box of rocks, I bet I can fuck her."

I think, in the wrestling world, they call this a "work". Some entertainment journalists have been tweeting about it and they're probably right. This scandal will make the last Twilight movie even bigger.
I don't personally know these people, so I don't know why I'm supposed to pretend like their lives are my business. I've been seeing their names plastered all over the celebrity scandal rags I walk past when I'm at work, and it and celebrity gossip in general reminds me so much of high school, in a really awful way. I try not to involve my thoughts with gossip.
