This was just released a few days ago, and I really like it. It takes a lot of the cool stuff from Grandia and Final Fantasy 4 and 5, and lumps it into a cool retro throwback game. The writing is better than the first two, and the battles are pretty challenging.
Also, if you buy it by July 2, you get free copies of Cthulhu Saves the World and Breath of Death 7 (both really fun FF style games).
So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.

I love the game engine, I've played Cthulhu Saves the World and part of Breath of Death, and the engine is just wonderful. It's not too complicated for stats, the turn based system isn't too bad, it really allows for a lot of flexibility, if they sold their engine I would so buy it in an instant.
That being said I'd love to buy this game but I am broke ATM
