The rom hack we used in the last challenge made for one of the most awesome rounds (although I'm almost the only one who bothered trying it),
so I don't think it really is much of an issue.

I suppose it isn't really much of an issue, especially when you consider you could choose the other game.

I'm still out of town. When I get back home on Thursday I'll start on one of these games. This Endless one seems most likely and most fun.

Which means Sarge beat the Robot a second time. Congrats!

Wow. I should did Kickle. I could beat level 1.
Also, 6 points is better than 5. Not 9 though

UGH, I died at the very last laser of the "climb up" laser area because I forgot I had to slide again at the end to drop down fast enough
The run itself is good enough at least.
Playing this game hurts my fingers. Too much shooting and quick jumping.

I sent my run.
I really didn't want to try it again, the boss really pisses me off.

Battle Kid is an NES game that came out only 2 years ago, believe it or not. Okay, most of you already know that. It's highly reminiscent of I Wanna Be the Guy, but it's a lot more fair, and it's very awesome. For this round, you must clear the Hall of the Colormancers (level 3) with only 5 lives. Distance will determine standings first, then time. If multiple people get to the boss and don't clear it, the tiebreaker is whoever got there first. Your timer starts when you enter the level and ends when the boss is dead.
Game file: Battle Kid
Save state: State 0 (right-click, save link as)

Good luck!

I kept track of my runs by levels completed and not screens.
I was able to reach the 2nd boss.

I won
Ok, getting farther than the first room is really easy to do, but I still won.
Winning is easier when there are only few people still doing the challenge.

Relooking at the video made me remember how much time it took me to beat the first sub-boss.
In other tries, I was able to beat him pretty fast without getting hit, what the heck happened that time?!? (I think it was because he was always at the roof, that bastard)
If I could've beat him faster, not only would the video have been a lot less long, but I could've kept the pink potion for the boss and maybe beat him. (I hope I'd beat him, I would suck if I wouldn't with 2 potions)
I think it's another example of how trying the game the last day of the challenge is a bad idea.
But well, I still won.
