I don't think Street Fighter Zero 2 Alpha was ever released outside Japan, at least not in arcades or as a stand-alone console game.

Alpha 2 Gold was first released in North America as part of the Street Fighter Collection (vol. 1) on the PlayStation. Also included in that collection was Super Street Fighter II Turbo, which was the best home conversion of the game available back then.

I can't see anything coming from the Duke Nukem Franchise (or 3d realms, for that matter) that will even offer a portion of what other games are,and will be offering.
Just a bunch of stupid 1 liners tossed in with seen-it-all-before shooting action.
The Duke nukem series has already done this with such horrible pieces of shit like "duke nukem : a time to kill" and "land of the babes". Both for the ps1, both are horrible attempts to cash in on Duke nukem 3d fame. Barely anything was new in that game,no new enemies, no new guns, no new 1 liners, I'm pretty sure a lot of it was re-used voice acting. Buggy as hell, frustrating, slapped together, not fun.
Furthermore, the Manhatten project was the PC equivilent to these peices of trash.
I would just let duke nukem die now with a little bit of glory.

Plus, Gamers all want ultra-realism and complex physics, with intricate story lines and good voice acting. They want something that is going to set the game apart from others of the genre, like Portal will with mind-fuck physics, and Bioshock will with a mash of extremely detailed environments and innovative combat elements.

it's sort of like Serious Sam. first game? awesome. halarious, fun, action packed.
Serious sam 2? overhyped bullshit game with nothing to offer. no fun, no funny. Just a bunched of re-hashed FPS material, slapped together bringing basically nothing to the franchise that the first game didn't cover, all in a vien attempt to make money off those who loved the first game and were expecting so much more.

I for one loved zero hour and time to kill, as well as manhattan project an plutonium pack.
and it's silly to assume ALL GAMERS want complex innovation. videogames aren't about innovation, they're about having fun. people seem to forget that. I DON'T WANT to be able to swing a virtual tennis racket if I'm not enjoying myself while I do it.
it's also silly to say ALL GAMERS want realism. If that were true, Mario would be an out of shape plumber who brings his weekly wages home to his nagging wife.
I think Duke Nukem (supposeing it's a real game and it's really coming out) will bring a welcome bit of the old school back. why do we still play games like doom 2 and duke 3d, now that we have stuff like half life 2 and farcry and halo? because they're simpler, more outrageous, and most of all, fun.

Okay So maybe I went a bit overboard on the "all gamers" thing, but I think it's fair to say that a good majority of gamers appreciate innovation and realism (to a point) over re-hashed ideas and simplistic game play.
Of course games like doom 2 and wolfenstein 3d and commander keen and quake and duke 3d are still fun and people still play them. But if you recall, these sorts of games WERE innovative at the time and did something no other game was doing. But now,the ideas from those games have been rehashed and reused hundreds of times, most of the time in a crap-tastic fashion. we still appreciate the originals because they pioneered the genres and were new to us at the time, but most of those franchises have gone on to produce some HORRIBLE sequels and remakes that add nothing to the original gameplay and therefore just feel lackluster and old.
How many other duke nukem 3d clones are out there now? using improved engines and basically the same gameplay mechanics and lame humour?
lots,I can assure you.
How many of them are good?
few.
why? because duke nukem 3d did it best and did it first. I have a hard time believing that any company, especially a lazy ass black hole of shit like 3d realms can take the DK franchise and produce anything new, exciting, or fun to play that would live up to the original titles glory without adding some fun,new gameplay elements to the title or having absolutely stunning fucking graphics.
also,if you liked a time to kill and land of the babes, then you must be more of an erratic retard then I suspected. Those games are literally what it would be like if someone took tomb raider (the first one), made the camera control and player control even worse, and punched it in the graphics about 100 times.

I'm probably the only one here who liked the original Duke Nukem games more than the FPS ones.
It would be nice to have another Duke Nukem game, though.

I didn't really like those much either... I dunno, I still hope the game is fun. Prey reminded me a bit of Duke Nukem, so if this ones like that I think I'll be happy. Like 3D Realms said, it'll be a game, not the second coming of Jesus, and it'll be a fun game. I think if hes used right, Duke Nukem could definetly make half of the game fun, and the other half would have to be the game itself. One of the best things about Duke 3D was the things he'd say, the stuff you could interact with, the hidden stuff, cool weapons etc. There has been a lot of innovative games, but aside from maybe Painkiller, I haven't played many FPS that revolve around those fun little simple things in awhile. IMO O' course! Maybe I've just missed a game or so lately.

Honestly. Just watch the 2001 trailer, see how bad ass that is. I would STILL BE PLAYING THAT GAME. I would love that fuckin' game. I would play the shit out of it. Now, consider that it's been nearly 7 years since that came out. Okay, so it's indicative of a bunch of lazy fuckheads and a broken development cycle, but you know what? I severely doubt that the game somehow lost all the awesome shit that was in and got less awesome. I bet they just upgraded the graphics a bit and added more stuff in since then.
How can you even worry that it won't be fun? Everything 3dRealms themselves publish is pretty much awesome, even if the Duke liscenced shit (the non-3DR Duke lisenced shit, mind you) wasn't good.
Whenever people think Duke Nukem Forever will be a "simplistic" FPS, I die a little inside. Duke Nukem 3d was not simplistic. It had huge, intricate levels, great atmosphere, scary ass monsters, badass weaponry, the opportunity to use traps and cunning, etc. The simple pleasures of laying 50 pipe bombs and arming the whole thing with a tripmine, then letting some enemies wander into it was fantastic. Remember braving the dangers of the subway tunnel, while a REALLY FAST train went around the loop, just to look for walls to blow up? Remember having to conserve jetpack fuel to fly up, and most importantly back DOWN shit? Duke Nukem was fast paced and furious, but by no means brainless. Do not ever compare it to Serious Sam or any of that other bullshit. Serious Sam is a boring soulless spamfest of retardation and lame guns. Sure it's fun at a LAN for an hour, but the appeal quickly wears off. The appeal of exploring huge levels, finding keys and such, solving puzzles that involve risk of life and limb, laying traps around a level for my opponents, and leading them into it, or just blasting them in the face with a shotgun and saying a Duke quote, that doesn't really lose its appeal.

Are you seriously getting THAT worked up about the 2001 trailer? i've seen that before,it's not that fucking impressive. Plus, they have already stated the game has gone through several engine changes since then, there is probably a good chance that a lot of that stuff doesn't even exsist anymore and the game barely plays like that.
I implore you to go take a look at the Trailer for Bioshock. any of them, but specifically "hunting the big daddy".
Enough said.

If I had to guess as to the current quality of DNF, I would suggest looking at Prey, as that was the last FPS 3dRealms had a hand in.

I thought Prey was great....Still can't wait for Duke Nukem Forever....dunno about Bioshock. What's all this about 3D Realms being lazy though? I dunno if rewriting a game multiple times is lazy...maybe perfectionist though...

System Shock 2 is a boring, stodgy piece of shit that's not scary and has awful weapons and gay combat. I couldn't care less about its sequel.
I'll take Deus Ex over SS2 any day.

1) besides the name and some minor minor elements, bioshock has fuck all to do with system shock. I hated SS2 as well.
2) Deus ex,there is another fine example of trying to make a sequal to a game that just couldn't live up to it. Deus ex was an innovative, beautiful, fun game with an in depth story line and totally non-linear gameplay. It was the first of it's kind.
Deus ex 2:invisible war was a total piece of garbage. They tried to improve on the original games greatness, but it was fucking impossible. (not to mention that the developers were lazy and dumb as fuck at this point) It turned out as a horrible game that was more FPS then RPG, and just was generally not fun at all.
I still get the feeling DN4 will be of the same calibur. Trying really hard to live up to DN3d but wont make the cut.
