I have an unmodded Samsung Infuse 4G which is currently stuck in a bootloop. This happened once before, but it broke on its own randomly. I would like to get my phone back on, but no idea how to fix it. I do not currently have a USB cable at my disposal (Will after work). Is there any way to break the loop? Will it break on its own if the battery dies?

um not sure what you can do.

obviously, try taking out the battery for a minute & letting it reset like that. also, try taking out battery & microsd card & letting it boot up w/out the memory card. otherwise, unless you can get to the boot menu, you might be SOL a bit.

if its under a year though, you should still be covered under warranty. especially since its unmodded.

First, try to get into Recovery Mode. Remove the battery, then replace it and hold down both volume buttons and the power button until you see a menu. If even that doesn't work, for Samsung phones, the absolute last resort to get it into some kind of flashable state is to force it into Download Mode using what's called a USB jig. You can make a jig yourself by connecting 301k ohms of resistors between two pins on a micro USB plug you won't miss or buy one from eBay. If that fails, then ship it off for warranty.

Phone finally booted properly. Sent a few texts then it rebooted again (properly). I decided to reboot it manually hoping it'd help, and it went back into the boot loop. And now the battery is dead.

Yeah, you might want to call support for that then.

If I could've gotten the stupid thing into download mode I could've just factory reset it using Odin, but no such luck. Have a new one in the mail and my old Pantech that I can use for the time being. Thank God I still have that old phone because otherwise I'd have no alarm clock!
