I've never understood why Christian groups get up in arms over stuff like this considering that most of the time "Satanic" characters are portrayed as being evil.

well I completely see his point. You see it was Voltron that first introduced me to music like Megadeth and Dio, which eventually led me to Satanism itself.

I was raised as a Jehovah's Witness, so I got this on an extreme level as a kid. I wasn't even allowed to watch the Smurfs as a little kid, because of the occult content. (Whatever the F that meant.) I got to see first hand all the anti-Metal, anti-Dungeons & Dragons, anti-everything that I now hold dear.

I remember when I was little, whenever I saw anything fantasy related (Dragons, wizards, etc.) I always got really excited, like I was looking at forbidden fruit.

I was raised Pentecostal, (and still am to a certain extent), so I got all that stuff too. Like how they tried to tell us that Ninja Turtles, while not the work of the devil, fell into this 'Third Power' group that was, again, not the devil, but just as anti-God.

Yes, when things couldn't even be remotely tied to the occult, they invented a new terminology to condemn the things on their agendas.

Also Valdronius, how you weren't allowed to have playing cards in the house... wtf! I can understand where my parents were coming from when they forbid Ouija boards, since you are in a sense trying to conger spirits, but Crazy 8!!!

And my personal favorite: Going to Dances lead to Dancing, Dancing leads to Touching, and Touching leads to Sex... (did you follow that fucked up logic folks?)

Oddly enough, while transformers never convinced me to worship the devil, it did convince me to worship unicron, and by extention Orson Wells.

that reminds me

my friend wasn't allowed to have yu-gi-oh cards when they were popular. one day he got a summoned skull from someone he knew and went around shoving it in his mom's face to freak her out.

the same friend and his brothers arent allowed to watch pokemon because its demonic. since he's the only one who knows how to use their dvr, he records hours of it and then his mom can't get rid of it.
