So, I went through all my games and made lists by system; to find any duplicates, etc. Turns out I did have some. Razz 3 on the NES, 1 on Genesis. (But one of the NES duplicates is a 5-screw/3-screw variant).

I have 498 games (not including the duplicates)...which is way more than what it looks like when they are in drawers.

Breakdown:

NES - 93
SNES - 36
GEN* - 47 (I was surprised I had more than the SNES Shocked)
PSX - 56
N64 - 22
PS2 - 66
Dreamcast- 17
XBox - 25
Gamecube - 21
GB** - 22
GG - 6
DS - 12
PSP - 13
PC - 62 (this number also shocked me. I thought it was a third of this, at most. Smile )

*includes Master System and 32X
**includes GBC and GBA

And yet, I can't help but think this pales in comparison to some of your collections, right? Laughing

I have eight video games.

X-Box: Knights of the Old Republic II

X-Box 360: Mirror's Edge, Skyrim, Oblivion, Rocksmith, Dark Souls, Fallout: New Vegas, Left 4 Dead.

We had to sell a LOT of shit since I lost my job.

Who likes role-playing games? Me. Way too goddamn much.

Gameboy*- 25
Virtual Boy- 2
DS- 7
3DS- 5

PS2- 12
Xbox- 9
Xbox 360- 27

The total would have been higher but just recently I got rid of a lot of my PS2 and Xbox games. Also in terms of consoles the only stuff I have with me at school is early nintendo stuff and my 360 so I used an old count I did about a year and a half ago for the other systems.

EDIT: I have all my NES games listed already so what the hell.

I have actually been working on an inventory of my games over the past year+. I am nearly finished with going through them. I will post the numbers here later, but not the entire list, as it would be far too long for this thread. Or maybe I will post it in a spoiler or something to not take up as much space.

Most of my collection is in a storage container because I do not have the room for it in my current house.

When I follow your link through the forum it brings me to a spam site... odd...

When I follow it through the wiki, it works fine.

Also, I counted 452 games for Syd.

Steam says I have 137 games for the PC.
I have another 5-10 from humble bundles.
I have another 3 on Origin
I have 6 Blizzard games
No clue how many other physical copy PC games I have floating around, I'd guess about 20-30.

I am guessing that I have about 75 cartridges and disks from various other systems.

I have no intention to ever count them or display them as a trophy. I am perfectly happy to wait and some day share my old games with my children. Until then, they can remain packed in boxes while I use emulators.

I have the habit of giving away my previous gaming system when I get a new one, so I have... 21 PS3 games (Plus all the garbage they give the people on plus ), and three PC games. Diablo 2 and Expansion, City of Heroes, and City of Villains.
I guess I'm not much of a collector Sad

Works fine for me, on the most current Firefox. Maybe the problem is on your end? Probably not though, because you're GPF. If you have some time to look at it, I'd appreciate it. I'm all worried now.

Also, I should specify my list doesn't include downloadable games that I paid for.

I doubt I have very many games for any of the consoles, but I probably have at least 100 PC games. Most of them are older ones that are in storage and probably wouldn't run on Windows 7 if I tried or would require DOSbox to get running.

I know I only own one DS game, one GBA game, eleven PS3, and five 360 games. Couldn't tell you how many PS2, PS1, N64, Wii, or Gamecube games but the numbers are fairly small due to selling them when I needed gas money and only recently buying some back up and I couldn't give an accurate count because my brother has borrowed several of them and not given them back yet. All my SNES/NES/Atari games were damaged by a flooded basement and the few that survived got lost during a move.

No SNES?

I own no SNES or Genesis stuff. My mom managed a video store from 1990-1993, so we never owned any SNES or Genesis stuff as we could just take the system and games from the store whenever we felt like. And in 1992, we got a PC, so my brother and I became PC gamers from 1993-1996, when we got an N64.

This is no N64 stuff on the list because technically my brother owns the N64. My sister also has one, which I got her for college on eBay.

I would like to pick up some Genesis and SNES stuff at some point, but I don't really have room right now and I need to save my money for Wii U anyway.

Also, as the wiki notes, we USED to have a lot more NES games, but when our first NES died, my mom gave a bunch of them away.

Syd has 56 1/2 times as many video games as I do. I think it's fantastic that he could literally use all the boxes and such for them to build an entertainment center capable of supporting my television, 360 and all my video games in it. He also has 5% more fingers. I should be jealous, but I'm just fucking impressed.

I am still working on my lists, as far as alphabetizing them and all, but I did count my unique Genesis, NES and SNES games.

My total count* of unique games for the consoles listed:

NES: 486

SNES: 391

Genesis: 349

* I Keep my imports separate, so they are not a part of these totals.

Also, thank you Etch for helping to light a fire under my ass to get my games properly documented. I have been wanting and failing to do it for years now, mostly because of having to take multiple trips to my storage unit to get stuff to catalog and I couldn't be fucked.

I will post the numbers here later, but not the entire list, as it would be far too long for this thread.

It would probably be faster to list the games you don't own. Laughing

Man, making the list made me realize I'm still missing a lot of great games I used to own as a kid (my brother got the NES when I got an SNES and he promptly gave everything away Sadly no ). TMNT, Mario 2&3, Mega Man 1-5...<sigh>. I also lost several Gameboy games along the way; Wario Blast, Mole Mania and Mega Man 2...The Mole Mania was still in the back of my Gameboy Pocket when my mom gave it to the Christmas toy drive. It was one of my favorites. I hope whatever kid ended up with it appreciated it. Razz

I really need to update it, the last time I updated it was like four months ago, and I've gotten a number of games since then, but yeah.

Don't feel bad, buddy; you're ten times the gamer that I am, just like Don Ho can sign autographs 3.4 times faster than Efrem Zimbalist Jr.

Who likes role-playing games? Me. Way too goddamn much.

If you think any of you guys have paltry selections, I've only ever gotten at most about half a dozen games for each console I've ever owned. My dad hated video games and refused to buy them for me after a certain point and I was always too poor to afford most games on my own.

Let's just say emulation has allowed me to make up for lost childhood...

Same here. My parents were not only poor, but cheap. I've only received 2 games in my entire life as a gift. The rest I had to buy myself. Although I'm glad I discovered emulation.
