I just recently watched Alpha Dog...and WOW i thought it was a great movie. I little heavy with the "F" word. But a great movie all in all. Sad to say but I really liked Justin Timberlake as "Nuts" in it.

Trying too hard to "fix" it isn't funny.
This practically wrote itself.

So, it's ok to change a quote if it's really easy? But, if it takes effort, it's dumb? Makes sense!

So, it's ok to change a quote if it's really easy? Well, that just makes me a big ol dumb head, DOODY DOODY DOO! |
See, that's the problem. You edit too much, and it stops being a humorous quote and just ends up as a roundabout way to call em gay or somesuch.
Nuts jokes are weak though.
What the hell is the movie about anyway? Nevermind. I'm not seeing a movie called alpha dog, cause its either about some sort of gang competition or cute talking animals and I'm not keen on either.

It's actually about a real event based off of Jesse James Hollywood. It's basically a a drug ring in the Valley of Cali, and then a whole lot of shit happens. I don;t particularly know why its called Alpha Dog. Plus Bruce Willis is in it. When has Bruce done a bad movie...wait don't answer that. It really is a good movie. Wether I'm being called gay by a moderator insecure of his own sexuality or not.

No, what I actually said is that if you're (the collective "you" not you personally) trying too hard to "fix" something it usually turns out to be really obscure and not terribly funny. If you have to fix 80% of the quote, then it isn't really "fixing" it but changing the post entirely.
To answer the actual question, yes I've seen Alpha Dog and I enjoyed the movie.
I'm also sorry that I took the low road on a joke. I forgot that this forum was chock full of intellectuals and people who never, EVER stoop to calling people "gay" or "retarded".
I'll step it up Dennis Miller-style if I'm being too low-brow for people.

I forsee this thread getting split...
Alpha Dog? Haven't seen it, but Justin Timberlake won me over in Black Snake Moan.

I just watched this tonight.
It has probably one of the worst openings in the history of cinema: an incredibly gay string of grainy home movies of half-naked children that could have only been put there so that pedophiles would go see the movie.
The movie itself was damn good, though kind of annoying. I know it's based on a true story, but damn, the kids were so damn stupid. I mean, there were like a million witnesses. I felt bad for Justin Timberlake's character...
And Jesus Christ, Harry Dean Stanton is fucking old. He looked like he could die at any second.

I have misguided principles derived from my musical taste. Because of such, I'll never see this movie.
I remember seeing previews for it and it didn't seem impressive.
