On the YouTube page for the video you want to post, there should be an embed option, it will give you code. Make sure you also tick the box for "use old embed code".

We don't have [youtube] tags here, they do nothing, stop trying them. They won't work, no matter how many times you try. Do what Syd said, hit the Share button, then hit the Embed button, then click on the checkmark next to the words "Use old embed code." I guarantee you, it works.

We have never needed it because the embed code does in fact work... but I made something a long time ago that might make this conversation go away... I make NO promises about this being tested for full functionality. None.

Because I fucking HATE BBcode. My initial philosophy was this:

"This is the 21st century. They teach HTML in fucking elementary school. If you don't know HTML, fuck you. Learn it."

Makes sense, BBcode is a nice little shortcut but there are times where I've HTML in place of it.

I wish I could disable the BBcode image tag, so that people were forced to use HTML for it. Then it would be easier to enforce the image size limit.

The only time the image size bugs me is in signatures.

Seriously? I am in high school, and I am yet to use a computer at school for anything more than searching the internet or typing documents. I've even started to teach myself HTML at home. I guess I might even have to teach myself some programming languages at home too.

Yeah most schools don't utilize computers very well and it is kind of sad because even at Mickey D's they are using computers these days. You pretty much have to know how to operate them to get by anymore. I only learned HTML (and then forgot it because I never use it) because I joined the computer club in middle school because we got to build the school website from scratch. They all have computers and they really should do more with them than have them there to type papers.
