The Gems version also left out Tails even though he was in the original.

The Gems version was based on the PC version, so the PC version must have omitted Tales. I forget if the water being clear in every reality was an issue with the PC port or an issue with emulating the PC port correctly.
I'm sick of seeing people saying the US soundtrack is horrible. Both Soundtracks have their good and bad tracks. I am so glad it has both soundtracks included.

Well if you fix it, that ruins the joke.
Always happy to ruin a joke.
I was just testing the new guy to see if he was one of those crazy, unstable Sonic fanboys. Now he's on to us.

The 2011 re-release of the game will feature the Japanese/European soundtrack. Although the inclusion of the North American soundtrack was initially uncertain due to licensing issues, it was later revealed that the US soundtrack is included, with the option to switch between the two soundtracks. However, both "Sonic - You Can Do Anything" and "Cosmic Eternity - Believe in Yourself" have been replaced by instrumental versions.[6] A 20th Anniversary soundtrack CD was released in Japan on November 23, 2011, featuring remastered versions of the Japanese soundtrack, with the inclusion of "Sonic Boom", and special remixes by Cash Cash, Jun Senoue and Crush 40.
And fans of the Japanese soundtrack still don't actually get the real Japanese soundtrack. Suck it, otakus.
I'm not a Sonic fanboy. Try BlazBlue.
And still fail.
I'm fucking Quickman.

Sonical Fasthog really does go run.
I don't really like Sonic CD. That being said, I don't really like Sonic 2 either, so whatever.

Yeah, I don't hate Sonic CD, but it's far from my favorite in the series. That said, I may pick this up, depending on how it looks on new TV's. I tried buying Sonic 2 on XBLA, and it just looked fucking weird on widescreen, though that may mostly be personal preference.
So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.

My roommate is one of the aforementioned crazy sonic fanboys and I am pretty sure he told me that they were making this one so it fit widescreen TV's better.

It's stuff like this and the console version of Sonic Generations that makes me wish I had an XBOX 360 right now.

Sonic CD is unique for one reason though, it's the only sonic game that knows its boring enough to be left idle for 3 minutes, so in an attempt at saving face it willfully terminates the gameplay.
That is, unless you position him near something he'll glitch on when he leaps.

That was probably my favorite thing in THE WHOLE SONIC FRANCHISE. My friend was confused like fuck when he went to the toilet and said "Pause it, I'm of to the toilet and then getting a snack". Guess what I DIDN'T do.

This is available now if anyone was not aware. My roommate has been playing it and it looks good to me but I hardly ever played it on the CD.
