My current job (UPS) is exhausting, but not necessarily bad. Definitely could use more pay, but the opportunities are great there, at least.
The job I had before was with a company called Streetblimps, which is a mobile advertising company...basically, I drove a truck with a billboard slapped on either side of it. It was great from a job standpoint (travel to new places, drive around, eat and take pictures and get paid relatively handsomely for it), but some of the people I had to deal with were just awful. My boss was an old Jamaican man who I believe was in the beginning stages of senility. He was a great guy when he was in a good mood, but when he was pissed, he would just blather nonsense. I was the only white guy working for him, and if people think racism doesn't work in reverse, I want to punch them in the face just for living. My boss, all things considered, actually liked me and gave me some really good jobs, and that made some of the other employees jealous and they made sure to express their displeasure with inferences that my "honky ass" kissed up to my boss. I got into it with one of the other guys who I had to work a shared job with in Nashville, and threats were shouted. Shortly after that, it turns out I and a few other guys were laid off...my boss liked me, but I didn't have as much seniority as most of everyone else, so I was the highest-tenured guy to be cut loose...which was for the best, since I was thinking about walking away anyway since I was starting to get worried about some shit going down with a few of the other guys that basically hated me.
Before that, I worked at Burger King for a while. I remember sharing a few stories of my experiences a couple of years ago, but by and large, my BK wasn't all that bad. I never had to deal with any scatological experiences either, thankfully. I just hated working the drive-thru. I can't do more than two things at once, and the drive-thru required me to take an order while making a drink for an earlier order while making change for the customer at the window while bagging the food to hand it out. Needless to say, I couldn't do it, and generally ended up working the front register, where I was much better.
The WORST job I've had was probably my first one - Subway. I only lasted maybe 3 weeks because I got tired of being the only one yelled at for anything because every other employee was related to the owner.
