2 things
1. I don't care for either of those assholes, Matt Hughes or Josh Koshcheck, so whomever's ass is beaten into a bloody pulp (insert gay joke here) it will be a good outcome.
2. Bigger news ( and I mean physically bigger) Dec 30, Vegas, Lesnar Vs. Overeem, Nuff Said

I can't stand Koscheck either. I have no beef with Hughes, so I hope he beats the hell out of him.
Can't wait to watch Lesnar fight again. That man is a freaking Grizzly Bear

Hughes is someone I have not been a fan of for a variety of reasons, but specifically and personally was a HUGE ass to myself and a friend at a Fan expo right before his season as a coach against Matt Sera on The Ultimate Fighter, whereas Matt Sera was actually really nice

I feel quite bad for Jake Shields having to fight this weekend with the death of his father, but man did Ellenberger KTFO of him.
Also, Bellator was a good show this weekend with Shlemenko choking the living shit out of Galesic and the three round war between Hess & Baker with Baker bringing an Epic finish toward the end of the third was awesome.
And I have to say, if all you watch is UFC or Strikeforce, while great, you are missing some great action. The head kick on Friday at Legacy Fighting Championships 8 from Larry Crowe to the dome of Ike Villanueva was awesome

it was a huge mma weekend
UFC 135, Jones won by submission, his win didn't surprise me or that he could submit someone, but that he submitted rampage, thought this one might have been a win by decision for jones
Koscheck knocks out Hughes, good, but couldn't it have been a double knock out, having them knock each other out
Hunt Vs. Rothwell was a better fight then I thought
Diaz submitted gomi was a shocker, great submission, I am thinking gomi is out of a job
Dream 17, won't go into details but out of 3 hours, only 45 min or so was interesting
Titan Fighting Championships 20 Surprised Varner didn't do better
Gutierrez with the darce choke over hutchinson was epic
and whitney's flying knee KO of shaffer was nice
Bellator was ok
Warren losing was surprising
and with Chase Beebe's loss and after TUF this week, it appears that it has not been a good week for the Beebe brothers

More like Dislocated his shoulder, but either way...
That was sick looking.
Also, literally choked the other to sleep.

broke. dislocated. either way, it was gross. he twisted his arm the whole way around. OUCH.
jon jones is ridiculously badass. a standing guillotine choke. his lanky frame really is a disadvantage to anyone he fights against.

so, it was broken. OUCH

Quote: |
“We’ve just had a medical diagnosis,” wrote Minotoro. “[Dr. Itamura] said he would prefer not to do surgery, that [the bone] will calcify by itself and that in five months, he’s fighting again.”
UFC officials referred Nogueira to Dr. Itamura, who prescribed twice-a-day ultrasound therapy and fitted “Big Nog” with a brace. The plastic accessory will allow Nogueira to move his arm, something the pure plaster of a hard cast would not. Long regarded as one of MMA’s finest grapplers, Nogueira’s submission defeat against Mir marked the first such loss of the Brazilian’s 42-fight career. |
and only out of commission for 5 months. tough fucker

Werdum looked great against Travis Browne tonight. I hope he can pull of an upset vs. Cain Velasquez in their title fight.

UFC 249 is supposed to happen on May 9th.
The card is extremely stacked, one of the best ever maybe.
