Indeed, for all we know this could be the break Dolph Lundgren's been needing.

Eh, it's like the comics. How many Terminator comics have their been that take place in the world and were Arnold-less? A ton... But to be fair, aside from the Miller and the Alex Ross stuff they were all terrible.
I'd like to see a new franchise around that random Terminator with a mustache from Terminator 1 that wiped out the human bunker Reese was stationed at. That was one heartless mother f*cker.

I had one series of Terminator comics many years ago, that was pretty good. I don't remember the sub-title, but I knew it had a female T-800 as the villian, and a team of heroes were trying to find Sarah Conner, but you never accually saw her in the comic.
I don't see why the Terminator series can't be like any other franchise. It's a large, interesting, and mostly unexplored universe. There is no rule that it has to follow just the expliots of the Conners and Terminators that look like Arnold.
Maybe a series that focused on the future war with Skynet would be good. Since the 3rd film showed that no matter what they tried to do to prevent it, the war happened.
