Agreed. Apparently in this set, zombies brought about like Frankenstein's monster are going to be blue rather than black.

The new Garruk has been revealed, (He's a transformer...) and seems damn near useless.
There needs to be a design rule, that Planewalkers need to come in with more than 3 loyalty. Especially since both his frontside abilities are "0 cost". Same problem with Nissa. You drop it, and someone Shocks or Lightning Bolts it immediately.

How is that useless exactly? Survival of the Fittest and an undead Overrrun seem pretty good to me.

I hear removal in green is pretty fucking useless too. And he costs 4 mana. You want him to start with like 5 loyalty? That's retarded, and you're retarded for saying it.
#edit: Also, I'm with BZ on this one. Considering that Birthing Pod is like the hottest fucking card right now, I can see why no one would want another way to access their deck's toolbox of one-of creatures. I also agree that the frontside ability to endlessly pump out creatures unless your opponent wants to risk him flipping is terrible. Repeatable token generation is dumb.

About Garruk:
A free 2/2 every turn is pretty good in Limited. A 1/1 with Deathtouch as a plus ability is pretty sweet too.
He's the first truly splashable Planeswalker.
As Jeebus and BZ said, Overrun and Survival are both pretty great abilities.
Rules question: If Garruk transforms when I set off the bolt, can then I use the new Garruk's ability? Strictly speaking, I think the rules would seem to indicate that I should be able to, as it is a new Planeswalker with a different name. I am sure that Wizards will decide otherwise though. Bolt and Survival in the same turn would probably be unfair.
If could use an ability from each side in the same turn, you could probably create some sort of lock with it.
On one turn, bolt your own Solemn, and make a Wolf, next turn Survival with it. Bounce it and start again.
Or maybe keep feeding Reassembling Skeleton to it.
People still love Squadron Hawks too. And Garruk works way better with Squadron Hawk than Birthing Pod does.

What the hell, don't call me BZ! On the internet I am only Black Zarak or "Daddy" in some special chat rooms!

Nope. He's still the same card, even though he has a different name.

Did I say anything about keeping the mana cost the same? I'm just saying that PWs that are one mana killable are useless. At least to me they are. Out of the dozens of times I have played Nissa, maybe once or twice has she as lived long enough to see a 2nd turn.

Red, Blue, Green, and Black all seem to hate my Planeswalkers.
Lightning Bolts, Boomerangs, Desert Twisters, and Hexmages. One of those is always lurking in the group I play with.

Well, what are you playing? Multiplayer? You have to have Planeswalker hate in multiplayer, that's just how it is. Jeebus used to abuse planeswalkers until we all started running hate.

I thought Lightning Bolt could only target creatures or players.

You can redirect noncombat damage from an opponent to a planeswalker they control.

Well, yeah. What else is there, Magic Solitaire?
But, seriously. Most of the time, I play with 3 or more opponents, and there are certain cards (planewalkers always included) that are giant bulls-eyes. Anything with a loyalty of less then 5 is guarantied to be toasted before your next turn.

So don't play with it in multiplayer.
Here's a big secret - there are some cards that are great in one style of play (say, head-to-head) that are lousy in another style of play.

Plus there are counter spells and any number of spells that can prevent or redirect damage.

Also, since you specifically brought up Nissa, you could play Privileged Position.

You can't judge PWs on how they are in multiplayer. Nissa was actually very playable in constructed and was a fucking pain in the ass to kill. Garruk will be the same way.

My god. The first card I thought of using it with was Doomsday.
