As part of the game, players will be able to access a 16-bit RPG entitled Professor Layton's London Life. Apparently clocking in at 100 hours, the bonus RPG has been developed by Brownie Brown, who also developed Magical Starsign and contributed to Mother 3.

Professor Layton and the Last Specter will be out in North America on October 17. Unfortunately, it appears that London Life will not be included in the European version of the game.

So, is this revenge for Xenoblade? Then I'd like to point out to Nintendo that Xenoblade was revenge for fucking Final Fantasy 1, 2, 3, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, Super Mario RPG, Dragon Warrior 1, 2, 3, 4 and tons of other games we never got.

But seriously, I am definitely importing this, I love the Layton-series, and there is no way I am trading this rpg for a few languages I don't understand.

I want 100 hours worth of RPG within a 100-hour RPG.

Inception.

They're just saying it's 100 hours to rub it in the faces of the people who can't play it. I don't believe for a moment an extra mode would be that long.

That sounds about right. I'm predicting it will be split into its own cartridge for the European release so it can have all the languages it needs.

Definitely importing this game, if I get it. Don't want to miss out on that.

Importing is technically illegal. I fear for the day when people proudly proclaiming that they're going to import something just because they're missing out on one little thing becomes the norm.

This is ancient news, seeing as London Life was in the Japanese version as well.

Also DS isn't region locked so Import City if it turns out to actually be exclusive. And they get the bonus of not having to hear Luke's horrible EU-version voice actor (who is different from the US actor for some reason.)

I actually prefer the EU-version of Luke, but I have no need for italian, french, german or spanish voice-overs. There won't be a norwegian/scandinavian voice-over no matter what, so I am stuck with the english one - so might as well get it from the US.

Do you also find the sound of nails on a chalkboard pleasant? Because Luke's UK voice actor's voice is in that pitch range.
