I have these achivements (note that I don't work in technical support for any company, or work at all really, so the context of these might need changing. Or something like that.):
%99.99 of the computer questions my mother asks me are those.
Happened to me when I was trying to set up an ad-hoc wireless network on a laptop so I could access the internet on my iPod touch.
I'm in high school, so I set up a proxy at home, and connect to the internet by either using a pre-configured Firefox Portable on my USB, or on my iPod touch. I have some friends that also use the proxy.
See 'Some are more equal than others".
Did this on my own computer a lot.
Happens almost every day.
minus the word 'genuinely'.
Used to do this quite a lot at school. Once I sent a wikipedia article (guess what kind of article) to a random printer for lulz.
This is why I will never get a job in technical support.

I'd like to think that I've got the gift, every single time someone calls me over to help with something computer related whining about how whatever they are trying to do will not work under any circumstance 9 times out of 10 I freaking try it once and it works.

It would take way too long to post the ones I have accomplished.
I have never made the WHERE mistake because I don't do DB work. Other than that, at some point or another, just about everything else has happened during my career or personal life.

Everything in the list I can relate to except DB issues. DB are as are easy for me to read and understand as ancient San-script is.

Correct me if I'm wrong but even if you squirrel it away in a maze of hidden folders wouldn't performing a search for all image and video files on the hardrive (including hidden and system folders) turn something up?

Typically people don't name pictures or videos, "Porn, More Porn, or My Girlfriends Vagina" I know when I...er my friend saves pictures, they save as a bunch of numbers.jpg

Try doing a search for ".jpg" ".png" and ".gif"
Regardless of filenames, they'll show

Unless you are literally opening/looking at all the .jpg, png, etc.. files you aren't really going to be able to tell if it's porn.

Yeah when I snoop I display thumbnails, can be a bastard to load though. I found some creepy hilarious stuff on the computer a coworker gave us lol!
So does password protecting the folder the booty is in protect said booty?

Just make sure you've got a BIOS password and no one will be bothering your computer unless they really want to.
If you're storing porn on a communal computer and that's why you are afraid of people finding it that obviously means you are spanking it there, and if that's the case for shame! Other people sit at and use that computer, gross!
