Street Fighter II was supposed to be Super Nintendo exclusive, but Capcom dropped out of that after a year with the release of the Genesis version.

I'm glad it wasn't becasue the PC version was the best of the bunch.
Although, strangely enough, the Turbo-Grafx 16 version was really awesome too.

I had a PC version of Street Fighter 2 and it was shitty as hell. The backgrounds were static instead of animated, and at the time, they were no game controllers suited towards the game. Every try playing SF2 on a keyboard? It's craptastic!
