I usually connect up a Wiimote via bluetooth and use that
You can do that?!

You can with the emulators I use (NES.emu and SNES9x EX, both available for iOS and Android).

Doesn't the iPhone go into Sleep Mode if you don't touch the screen every so often? How does the emulator get around that? Also, that seems like a pain in the ass. Like, any situation I'd be in where I could be playing an NES emulator on an iPhone using a Wii Remote as the controller withouting looking like a complete fucking tool to other people, I could be playing a better NES emulator on my computer.

i think the screen dims before it goes into sleep mode. so, if you are watching it playing your game, and it dims, you can pause right quick & tap the screen.

I could be wrong as I'm just guessing based off the android OS, but when you have certain running services, in my case Nesoid, on your phone it keeps your phone screen in an active state, like have a Navigation app running, since people using it are hardly touching the screen while using it the screen sits lit up. It drains the hell out of the battery though.

I would like to add that my phone has a keyboard and it's still a nightmare to play console games on it.

Yeah, the emulators I use keep the screen on

I have not seen anyone use a Wiimote for a NES or SNES emulator on their phone where others are around. I don't do this either. I only use the Wiimotes when at home (I of course use an iPad, instead of my iPod). Also, apart from the touch screen or Wiimote controls, the emulators are on-par with a typical non-phone emulator.
Also, you don't have to use a Wiimote. There is a controller called the iControlPad. It clips on to the phone. However, the price is quite steep, so steep, that if you really wanted to emulate games and have actual controls, you could buy the GP2X Wiz (If you just want something to do emulaton), or even the OpenPandora(If you want something that does more than emulaton, and offers a full desktop environment on a handheld roughly the size of a DS).

If you're at home though, why are you playing emulators on your iPhone and not on a computer? Seems silly and inefficient.
I hate these Apple owns Nintendo sucks articles. They are all over the net, and even though there is a small amount of truth to it, they are blown up so much by non-gamers like this dickhead and Pachter who loves Apple, but don't really have the passion for games to differentiate Pokemon or Mario from all the shit that exists on the iphone. They don't know games, so they believe that Donkey Kong Country Returns is as simple as an iphone-game - and therefore should be priced and sold that way - when in truth there is nothing on ios that is even close to the awesomeness that is DKCR. They also believe the media-made truth that only casuals and kids buy and play nintendo-stuff, which is why nintendo is always outlined in these articles, as opposed to sony or microsoft. However, even though a lot of casual consumers probably will leave nintendo and take their kids with them to the gaming wastelands that is ios - they will never, ever, be able to take the core nintendogamer which consists of people like us on this forum. Are we a minority? Maybe, but we are still enough to get games like New Super Mario Bros, Mario Kart and Twilight Princess to sell amounts any competitor would die to achieve - and with the healthy pricing it also makes far more money for Nintendo than what most devs can get out of the appstore.

It's part of the Apple culture. They have to hold an air of superiority over all other brands because it's all they have. Apple makes them feel special in all they do, so they're just doing things like this out of gratitude.

I'll play my RPG's on emulator on my phone, simply because those are almost the only playable games on a touch screen keyboard. For the most part you cover up portions of the screen with your fingers and it's terribly hard to do anything with precise movements. If I find myself wanting to play anything else I'll turn on the laptop. Plus being able to connect the laptop to the TV makes it even more awesome.

1. I don't have an iPhone. I have an iPod and iPad.
2. I prefer using the iPad with emulators because it is much more convenient to grab it, and a Wii Remote, and start playing, rather than get on my computer.

Relevant: 3DS sold over 200,000 units post-price drop this week in Japan, and Nintendo's stock jumped 10% overnight.

I read about this, good news all around. I do hope this momentum picks up and continues.
Also, I feel like now would be a decent time to buy a bunch of Nintendo stock, come Christmas that shit will be shooting up again; and it's so much cheaper now.
I bought a 3DS after Price Drop. My Code is in the Codes Thread now.
Also, I seriously can't stand the arrogance that comes from the Majority (not all) of Apple Product owners.
My wife is an Apple Sheep and I can't stand it. Since her friends have iPhones she thinks she needs one. I try to explain to her that there are much better Droid phones with more power specs, but she could give a shit less. It isn't an iPhone.
I could go get an old green screen Nokia, Engrave iPhone and an apple on it and she'd want it before a Thunderbolt. Drives me fucking insane.

This might explain why Apple fans feel so smug about their preferences.
