Quentin Tarantino is no cutie (QT) LOLZ.
I think the guy has penis size issues. Honestly, all he talks about is BIG DICKS BIG DICKS BIG DICKS in Resivoir Dogs. I suppose you're right in some regard about the films being lost...but Hero? That movie wasn't about to be lost...it was available to purchase all over the place if you knew where to get it 2 years before it came to America officially as "QUENTIN TARANTINO'S A JET LI MOVIE: HERO". It's shit like that that I don't like more than anything.
I would probably hang out with Quentin, but he seems like he'd get annoying fast, and then I'd have to interrupt his concentration after eating a tasty burger, because it's not the same ballpark, it ain't even the same sport.

In Tarantino's defense, I will say this:
1. He was probably the best thing about Muppet Wizard of Oz.
2. His last name is fun to say.
3. His speech at the beginning of Resevoir Dogs, the one the guy bashes in that article, was freaking awesome.
4. He was good in From Dusk Til Dawn.
5. He knows his shit, and he genuinely loves cinema, two qualities that people like Michael Bay don't possess.
But he is damn annoying. I think the first time I really got annoyed with him was when I saw him host SNL. The sketches he was in were terrible, and he was terrible in them. A large portion of the blame for that can be placed on the SNL writers, but it was still painful to watch.

Saw that on Yahoo Movies last month. Incredible. Any movie with a car hitting a helicopter gets my interest. Put Bruce Willis in it and slap Die Hard on the cover and I'm there.

Cine-snobbery time: Miramax purchased the rights to "Hero" and they wanted to dub and cut it down (ala Shoalin Soccer). Quentin made a deal with them that if his name was attached, they would not be allowed to touch a frame. QT had nothing to do with Miramax's national orders for Suncoast and various other video retailers to not carry the film.
"Iron Monkey" did not have the same luck and was cut by Miramax, which is why QT demanded it of "Hero".

That's pretty cool that he wanted them to keep it the same way. It would have been nice if the previews weren't showing all the ugly, drab scenes in the movie instead of the color themed ones, and the whole "A JET LI'S HERO MOVIE THE NEW MOVIE BY QUENTIN TARANTINO THE NEW MOVIE"

I haven't watch it to just now. Amazing. Though it looks nothing like "Die Hard", but whatever. John McClane is BACK.
P.S. Buy Mac.

Supposedly Kevin Smith's fatass is gonna be in the next Die Hard movie. Don't know why anyone would cast a fat loser like him in a movie.

Just saw the new Die Hard 4 trailer. I have to say it looks like the most patriotic film of the year. Though I'm still unclear of how two cliches are going to happen: How does McClaine get called in and how do the terrorists pull a Kim Bauer?
But... Gotta love "The Line". Thank God that's there.
As much as I love Kevin Smith, I have to say ending the trailer with him really gave the me a different vibe from the rest of it.

Yippee Ki-Yay, Motherf***er. It's one of the most recognizable lines in film history, and, if the producers of Live Free Or Die Hard had their way, would have been excised from Die Hard. Yes, the wimpification of our society continues as the producers of Live Free or Die Hard are pursuing a PG-13 rating, instead of the R rating that the other three films have gotten, and Bruce Willis is pissed.
And rightly so. It's going to be awful hard to return to form if you're going to turn the movie into something that's even remotely family-friendly. And why the change of heart? Because they're trying to broaden the appeal of the Die Hard franchise to include a teen audience. Because teens have been just dying for a new Bruce Willis movie.
What they should realize is that the majority of the Die Hard viewing audience are people who started watching the series in the mid-80's, and aren't likely to be a bunch of teens who are going to see a, let's face it, aging movie star in a franchise that won't mean anything to them.
Of course, film executives are often shortsighted about what people might like to watch at the theater, and are surely behind the times when it comes to 'protecting' teenagers from sex and violence. At any rate, they've appealed the the younger crowd by adding Justin Long to the cast. That should be enough, shouldn't it?

I saw 16 Blocks... Correction: I PAID to see 16 Blocks. I've met my PG-13 Bruce Willis quotient for the next few years. I want some mother fuckin' McClaine and I want him sayin' "mother fucker".
Wait... 16 Blocks did use the f-bomb...

This is worse than when they decided to make AVP into a PG-13 movie.
No wait, that's not even *ALMOST* true. Die Hard 4 could be nothing but 90 minutes of Bruce Willis and Justin Long making out and it wouldn't be anywhere near as gay as AVP was.
And Bruce has been in some good PG-13 stuff. Like, say, THE FIFTH MOTHERFUCKING ELEMENT!

I think I'm one of like 3 people who enjoyed AVP. But that's as it's own movie -- not as an adaptation of the comics/games, with which I'm unfamiliar.

I'm like half a person who liked it. I do enjoy watching it to numb the noggin' for a bit. It could've been worse. But overall, rubber monsters fighting rubber monsters is always awesome (see Japan for further proof).

Okay, fine, you guys can have your R. Whatever it takes to get Mr. Bomberman into the theater. Man, if only I'd known he cared. Fuck.
