It has been confirmed for Europe though. Deep Silver is publishing, sometime in fall, I believe. It has not been announced if there will be a special edition, and if there is, what will be in it. If Europe gets a cool special edition with different swag then the US release, I'll probably import it just to have the stuff. The Japanese special edition sucked, so I'm not going bother with it.

So I tried out Babel mode for the first time a few days ago. Holy fuck, it is IMPOSSIBLE. And it's semi-randomized.

Also, I found a site that will sell me the Catherine mug: http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=NEODAI-488

Yeah it is. It was actually better than the Japanese special edition. The Japanese special edition had the art book, and then a sexy mousepad and a body pillow.

I'd like to see some more merch. I'd love to have a t-shirt with the Stray Sheep logo on it, Vincent's "Rave" t-shirt, or an "Empty" t-shirt that would actually fit me.

Classic Game Room made a review about Catherine (it's not spoiler free):

What the fuck is Classic Game Room? Do people like Classic Game Room? I got 55 seconds into the review and shut it off. That guy's voice is douche-tastic and he's trying WAY too hard to be clever.

Also, it sounds like he's reading off a script. If you can't read off a script without sounding like you're not reading off a script, you probably shouldn't be doing spoken reviews.

CGR started out as an e-zine for games that was mentioned in Wizard once.

I followed their youtube for a while but eventually dropped off, especially after all the hate and complaints about the newswoman they added to the team. I followed it long enough enough to be surprised he never complained Catherine wasn't released on his beloved Vectrex or that Vincent belonged in Cosmic Carnage.

Zero Punctuation did a review as well. Haven't watched it yet, but from some of the tweets I've seen, I think it has big spoilers.
