This is dumb. A more productive argument would be comparing characters from similar genres. Like Master Chef to any one of the generic meatheads from Gears of War. Or Duke Nukem. |
it's only dumb because there's nowhere for you to interject and post retarded japanese street fighter comic strips. I was rather enjoying myself.

Master Chief should've been like the Doom Marine in the first Doom: devoid of personality. They gave him a small amount, and now he seems shallow. Does the Doom Marine seem shallow? No, because it seems like you ARE him instead of PLAYING AS him. |
The doom marine had plenty of personality. His name is Flynn Taggart, BTW.

In the books. That's expanded universe. I'm talking in Doom I and II.

Books demand that the main character gain personality, as 600+ pages of "he runs into a room and shoots everything in there. After that, he picks up ammo and health" would be really really boring. Note this happens to just about any game; an RPG book would consist of "he wanders about until another identical set of monsters attacks, then kills em".
And I said it was dumb because were talking about two characters adapted to different universes. Mario lives in a land where infinite chasms and fatal objects are the norm, where jumping take precedence over shooting. Cross genre discussions are okay an all, but I'd much rather hear about the interactions between characters who have something in common, like health and armament.
So don't take it personal.

Mario would eat a mushroom and prepare himself for the battle, Master Chief would grab a double shield and reload, and then Duke Nukem would come in and kick everyones ass, no questions asked. How many times do I have to say it?

I am surprised this thread is still going on, but I love it.
Anyway, I am pretty sure that Mario would beat able to beat Master Chef. Mario is faster than him, so the only way Master Chef could beat Mario is if he stunned him with the black pepper and then dropped a hamburger bun on him.

No way man. That bipedal egg would destroy mario. He had enough trouble picking up Birdo's eggs and throwing them back, let alone an egg that's bigger than Mario and sentient.
