I just got my Game & Watch in the mail a few weeks ago. They put a lot of special little touches like the Club Nintendo logo on the back and stuff like that. It's also very authentic.

Anyone else manage to scoop one of these up?

I did, in that same time frame. I haven't opened it yet. I need to, if for no other reason than to remove the battery.

I was thinking about not opening it and collecting it in that sense, but just said fuck it. It is surprisingly a ton of fun to play still.

There is no way to pause the game or turn it off as you would imagine.

From what I understand, the battery comes preloaded, which wasn't the case with the original G&W, so if you don't open it, sooner or later the battery will expire and slowly corrode the circuits if not removed.

Yea.

It has one of those plastic strips in between the battery and the circuits, so you have to pull out the little tab first before the thing even turns on and makes a connection.

Also, has anyone that qualified for the OoT soundtrack actually received it yet?

If I remember correctly, the site said they wouldn't even ship until July 5th.

I got that Ocarina CD on the way, Satty. I'd be more than happy to post the FLAC files if you were to walk me through on how to do it.

I don't even know what a FLAC file is.

Free Lossless Audio Codec

Basically HD audio files. I'm pretty sure that's what Satire was talking about.

I really meant any kind of uncompressed/lossless audio files (.wav, .flac respectively). And yes, I will walk you through the process of doing so. I know how to rip using Windows Media Player, iTunes and Winamp.

The only thing I've seen about the pins is that "They'll be shipped by December 31st, 2011" Sad

Satire, the CD came out in Japan months ago, I'm sure if you were inclined to look, the files are probably already out there.

I got the Messenger Bag, the Reversible Mario Pouch and the free Wii Fit Tote Bag about 3 days from each other. Guess I can wait possibly 5 months for those goddamn pins.

IIRC, the mailouts the last two years for premium prizes were October.

And....I finally got my soundtrack.

It is very whimsical indeed, excellent quality on these tracks.

Although, mine must have gone through Hell in shipping. The jewel case was cracked along the front and the little plastic part that holds the disc in place was cracked off so the CD was flying around loose I guess. Fortunately there was no damage to the CD and this will be fixed as soon as I get my hands on a new jewel case.

Another thing, the track-listing seems all off from what the track order actually is, and there is no telling what track you are listening to if you consult your music player as /everything/ is still in Japanese, lol.

My iTunes had an option for the Japanese names, but there were 2 options for the English names.

Mine came last night, and my case was in good condition. Me and Satire are in the process of ripping the Lossless audio files and I will be posting the link here as well for those interested.

EDIT:
[SPOILER:ffb87ecf55]Boner![/SPOILER:ffb87ecf55]

EDIT EDIT: Just PM me for the link. I don't want to break the rules.

Out of curiosity, are you willing to do some High-Quality Scans of the supplemental material (booklet, back cover sheet, front of the CD, etc?)

More information may be found here.
