I loved 28 Days Later, and when I saw the commercial for this, my jaw dropped to the floor.

Who's gonna see it? I know I will. I KNOW I will.

It's on The List. Though whether I'll be able to see it now or not is a whole other issue.

I'll totally be there. The only thing I love more than a zombie movie, is a movie about a world recovering from zombies.

Honestly, I didn't much care for 28 Days Later. The first act was cool, and I liked how they prevailed over the zombies by starving them out in the end, but the whole part with the military was super gay.

"Hi, we're survivors."
"Hi, we're the military. We'll protect you, we're highly skilled professionals and we're trained to deal with crisis situations."
"Cool."
"OMG! Hold up! You've got WOMENFOLK with you? None of us have had sex in 28 days, and even though a soldier's job often forces him to abstain from sex for periods of time much longer than 28 days, we're going to suddenly turn into irrational morons because we really, really want pussy. Especially from that fourteen year old. That shit's tight."

28 Weeks Later looks like it takes my least favorite part of the original movie, namely a cynical, shameful and completely unrealistic portrayal of how the military would act in such a dire situation, and expands upon it. No thanks.

So you prefer the alternate third act without the military?

Whoa, there's an alternate third act? Sweet. I also thought that was the weakest part of an otherwise entertaining movie.

Yeah, instead of the military they run into the facility from the beginning. It was rather smart... except for the final solution, as pointed out on the DVD.

When I watched 28 days later, I found myself constantly asking, 'When is this thing going to get started?' Then the credits started to roll, and I got mad.
