I've decided to post a list of the various computer awards I got through my high school career (may high school burn in hell)

Not that anyone cares but I just feel happy and proud for doing all of this and putting in the hard work it took to reach this and need somewhere to be happy.

Okay! So a medallion, a pin, two chords, and 14 certificates (should be 15 if I could find one of them...) consisting of one for completing my A+ prep, Net+ prep. Computer programming 1, and computer programming 2 classes. --- gave me one of the chords
One for completing a IT-programming pathway ( a pathway is a group of classes you take through highschool if you choose to) with an accompanying letter, the same for an IT-repair and servicing pathway, --- these two are what got me the medallion
one for fourth in a state FBLA network design state competition this year,
one for fourth in a management information systems test also state FBLA and also this year
3rd place in network design for a regional test for FBLA from last year
One for eighth in network design for state FBLA from last year
One for passing a state CTE test for web page design
One for passing my state CTE test in my A+ prep class
The same for my Net+ test (this one I got the high score in the class)
One for a CTE test in basic computer class I took freshman year
A Cisco certificate for taking the CCNA discovery course and passing the final (with a letter)
A cisco certificate for my IT course (also letter)
And one from graduating from the Academy of Information Technology (which I had to put 100+ hours into a computer internship for) --- this gave me my pin and a chord

Oh and the 15th would've been for placing in a computer test for region FBLA this year if I hadn't've lost it

Yes I realize this is cocky, but I feel really happy that I put in all the work for all of these

This one time I jumped super high off the swings, probably higher than ever before.

I was pumping my legs forever and when I jumped off, my feet were easily at the same level as the top of the swingset.

For this, I was unanimously voted Most Badass in my neighborhood.

Cool The Flyin' Jew made me add this. Cool

Damn that's cool. I wish my high school had had stuff like this. Since we didn't have computer programming, I was a theatre geek. Very Happy

I won the spelling bee in first grade by spelling supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. My prize was a lame Flintstones coloring book, I've been disgruntled ever since.

I was the RPG geek in a really uptight evangelic school about the time RPG was to be banned from Brazil. I felt like a demon god, people were actually afraid of me, it was cool as hell Very Happy

The best we had in the way of programming in my high school was something called Alice, an incredibly clunky animation program that runs on Java commands. There was supposed to be an advanced programming class, but I was the only one who applied. 512 MB of RAM is not nearly enough to run anything Java-based, so it's a miracle we got by with it at all. And to think just the year before I got the chance to apply, they were doing C++.

I'm not a bad enough dude, but I am an edgy little shit. I'll do what I can.

lol thats funny right there

in 5th grade, our teacher selected 5 other kids to be in the spanish spelling bee and she didnt select me. i jokingly complained, so she sent me off to the spelling bee as 'punishment.' i guess she figured i would be terrible, but i finished 2nd overall.

i skipped physics class for the entire spring/summer portion of my senior year and still got the best grade in my class on the final. Receiving congratulations from that teacher who hadn't seen me in class for like 4 months was my proudest moment in high school

in my defense the guy had never taught physics before, and i had 4 free periods before his class (which was the last period of the day). To top it all off my house was within walking distance from the school. It would have been a crime NOT to skip.

I was the 12th man on the only varsity basketball team in school history that didn't win a single district game.

My last year of high school, I had the highest english grade in the AP English IV class, and I was selected by my english teacher as Student of the Year.

I don't think anyone in this thread is as badass as Andrew_Man, though.

Okay, I'll see your highest grade, and raise you four AP tests passed with a 5, and the George E. Mentis award as outstanding four-year contributor to the English department. Razz

VICTORY IS MINE!

Another time I almost broke my neck when trying to do a huge back flip off the swing, landed right on my head and totally fucked myself.

Ah...the swings....

i don't know if i almost broke my neck, but when i was like 7-8 i used to close my eyes and do a front flip off my club house on to the trampoline but nobody had ever seen me doing it. The clubhouse was probably 12-15 ft above the tramp.

my older brother wouldnt believe me so i tried again with a witness and landed right on my head... i couldnt turn my neck for like 3 days

despite the potential paralysis i am proud i was trying these stunts at such a young age
