I think this is a poor argument, personally (err, the hygiene one, that is). That's like saying everyone should shave their heads so they don't get lice. On one hand, that's true and makes sense, but on the other hand, if you just keep yourself clean and wash your hair regularly, you can avoid it.

From guys I know who have foreskin, it's not a huge deal to keep your dick any cleaner than someone who doesn't have it. Just peel it back and clean underneath. It's not like it takes an extra hour of your morning routine or something.

Just think about that. You're hacking off skin from your body so you don't have to spend an extra, what, minute? 30 seconds? cleaning yourself in the shower. Seems a bit extreme.

The potential benefits listed there seem to be cancelled out entirely by the potential complications. Not only that, but half of those benefits are covered entirely by cleanliness and safe-sex, something everyone should have regardless.

It doesn't change the fact that you're not giving that child a choice about whether you're going to greatly mess with what will most likely become his favorite body part. That's silly.

My religion says nothing about circumcision so idk how I feel. My brother and all my cousins have been circumcised. I think it's typical in hospitals here....

FWIW, my parents never had mine cut so this doesn't bother/affect me much.

Well the vast majority of Sydlexians will either be cut or female, since it is, or at least was, standard practice at all hospitals to do it.

Yeah I'm cut, and to be honest I don't really give a damn. In fact if anything it makes it easier on me. I tend to not grab a shower everyday because I have school or something and I get up later than planned and run out the door without one. Just less hassle for me really. Personally, in the unlikely scenario that I ever actually get married and have kids, I'd probably have the boys cut too. I don't see a reason not to.
