The former X-Men actor, Ian McKellen, has embraced the undead craze and boards the upcoming horror film alongside Judi Dench and Gillian Anderson.

The Curse of The Buxum Strumpet is based on the short film titled E'Gad Zombies which Ian McKellen himself narrated. That short film which was directed by Matthew Butler, is about citizens in an 18th century sea-side town that is plagued by an illness transforming the townfolk into the walking undead.

E'Gad Zombies director Matthew Butler will helm The Curse of The Buxum Strumpet with plans to begin filming later this year in Scotland. The project is currently being shopped at Cannes. Aside from McKellen, actors Judi Dench (Casino Royale), Gillian Anderson (X-Files) and Mark Williams will also star in undisclosed roles. The film doesn't appear to break new ground at first glance but there are plans for a love story subplot amidst the zombie horror.

I love Gillian Anderson, she's damn hot. The movie sounds mediocre though.
