Saw the "fucking state of..." section on the wiki and was greatly entertained.
However, I have one critique. Up until last June, I would have totally agreed those three states are flatter then the chest of a ballerina. However, something changed my understanding of the meaning of the word "flat." Where was I? What could possibly be flatter then those three states? North Dakota.
I am not kidding, you'll learn the difference between rolling hills and flat.

Kansas is flat, but the state is also completely sloped. I've driven cross country a few times, and when you're going east to west it's like driving up a super long ramp leading up to the Rockies.

It's the difference between this:
Kansas
and this
North Dakota
As for the sloping, yes absolutely. The eastern half of the state is fairly consistent and has more hills, but as you hit Salina it becomes a lot flatter but sloping up (eastern Colorado is as boring if not more). I got great mileage coming back from Boulder on year.
Limon, CO to Manhattan, KS on one 13 gallon tank (Chevy Cavalier).

So, since yesterday morning, I have been driving through Kansas, Missouri, and Iowa.
We may not agree on the flatness, but I think we can all agree they're boring as hell. I miss the mountains and the ocean.

Missouri's got some hilly terrain (Jefferson City) but also has some flat areas (Springfield). It is still an extremely boring state, though.
I also laughed at the Fucking State Of articles. They were quite good!
