Syd's new topic reminded me of Kenner's old Aliens line. Anybody have these figures? A lot of the alien concepts were really cool and really well sculpted. The humans were kinda dumb, cept Atax, I thought he was awesome. Only later did I realize that since they don't even have eyes, aliens probably wouldn't be fooled by an alien disguise.

Speaking of Alien-based toys, here's a plush facehugger licensed from AVP:
I've seen this upclose without the egg. The version that comes with the egg is apparently exclusive to this distributor.
Either way, what the fuck? Stuffed animals based on the Alien franchise? Ugh.

What could be more adorable than giving this to your child as a toy, then checking on them later to find them asleep with it cuddled against their face? If that doesn't spell Kodak moment, I don't know what does.

i have every alien figure that kenner produced (except the marines). they started getting pretty dumb towards the end of the line and even went so far as to just do repaints and call them different aliens. i still bought them though because i'm an idiot and a completist.

I'll second that. Alien stuffed animals are not for kids. Hell, just looking at that thing has made me crap my pants.

That's nothing, there's also a plush chest-burster and a queen chest-burster (as well as the other version of the face-hugger.)

this is exactly why I ould buy one.
also for a girl who was as nerdy as I am.
I often compare my cat to a chest burster or a face hugger, because in the middle of hte night, it will jus scamper across the floor and be seen out of hte corner of the eye in the darkness, and sometimes it's been known to leap great heights and distances to attack somebody in the face.
I owned all of the original aliens (gorilla, scorpion, queen, bull.) and a few after that. they realyl went downhill after the frist set or two. I was more into the predator figs.

I have a broke-ass alien toy on the floor of my car from somewhere around 1992. The neck retracts so the head can lock back and you press a button for the head to ram whatever is in front of it. It's missing the legs and horn on one side. I might spot weld it to the hood ornament.
