It's a thing that people cling on to. Microsoft has been doing great lately. They have quality services and products, and people still shit on them.

Let me ask this question:
Who has a more secure and stable gaming network?
Xbox Live or PSN?

Everyone bitches about having to pay for Live, and boast about PSN being free. Well, guess what? You get what you pay for, and Microsoft knew that. They use the money from Live to maintain and improve Live.

And, Microsoft learned awhile back, it's wiser to buy the #1 brand, instead of trying to compete against it. Buying Skype makes sense.
