http://www.tssznews.com/2011/05/04/report-separate-nintendo-specific-sonic-in-the-works/
A report by Eurogamer states a Nintendo exclusive Sonic will be revealed in next month's Nintendo Power, which will hit shelves close to the end of the month. This isn't the new Mario and Sonic since that was already shown in this month's issue, nor is it Sonic 4: Episode 2 because that's not a Nintendo exclusive. Although it's unlikely, These could be Wii/3DS versions of Sonic Generations, that, or it's something completely new. Anyone have any thoughts on what this could be?

My guess and hope and dream would be Sonic Colors 2.
I'd settle for Sonic Adventure 3 or another Sonic Storybook though.

Yeah, I'd prefer another Sonic Adventure or Colors over anything.

It'll be [SPOILER:e3338e4fd4]THE BAD ONE.[/SPOILER:e3338e4fd4]
They're overdue for one this year, not counting the Mario garbage, which is bad by default.

You know while Sonic Colors 2 is the safer bet, I really hope it's Sonic Adventure 3.
Why? Because we'll see Sonic Colors 2 eventually anyway.
And making SA3 a Wii exclusive would really stick it to non-Wii owners in a way that'd make me smile.

???
Sonic Adventure was for Dreamcast then later ported to the GameCube, then Sonic Adventure 2 came out and was again later ported to the GameCube. It's not like all the PS3 and 360 owners are gonna be like "OH THAT'S BULLSHIT!"

^ That would be amazing! It's my second ranked Sonic game right behind the Tiger Handheld.

Sonic Adventure 1-2 have a multiplatform fanbase, is my point. Making those of them who don't own a Wii jealous would be awesome.

No, it's the meaning of life. Life is having stuff that other people want but can't have. Whoever has the most stuff that other people want but can't have is the winner.

Chances are probably like 80-90% though that if you had a GameCube you have a Wii, and if you only played them on Dreamcast back in 2001, chances are you really aren't going to care.

Do people REALLY still think that Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 are good games?

Adventure 2 was a legitimately great game. Adventure 1 was fairly meh.

Sonic Adventure 2 was only about 30% Sonic/Shadow. The rest was nothing but mediocre mech sequences and search levels that got boring the first two or three times in the FIRST game. I like Adventure 1 more, but even then, the rereleases did nothing but show the game's age. Finicky controls, poor camera, all that jazz.

The final Rouge and Knuckles levels in SA2 were annoying, the rest of the game was A+.
The only good levels in SA1 were the Sonic & Tails ones. The rest were crap.

I haven't played Sonic Colors, but if it turns out to be anything like Sonic Adventures 2, then I'll pass.

It's not. Sonic is the only playable character.

Thank God. At the time, I remember thinking Shadow was going to be awesome. He was not.

I gotta agree with Syd here, Adventure 2 was amazing. I spent damn near 400 hours trying to complete everything: getting my chao to level 100 on everything, beating all the missions, getting an A rank on everything. getting all the emblems, etc. You really got serious bang for your buck with that one. And Doddsino, if you've got a Wii, do yourself a favor and go pick up Colors for $20. You'll love it.

I didn't like Adventures 2 for multiple reasons...and I really hated the chao things. I don't really care for games where you have to put in extra effort to get things done, like you spent 400 hours...that's too much for an adventure game. The only two characters I was tolerant to play as were Sonic and Tails. Even the Knuckles stages bored me. I think I got about 70% completion, before I stopped playing and eventually sold it. The original Sonic Adventure was great though.
I might check out Colors at some point, but I'm saving up for some other stuff at this time.

...you realize that Robotnik and Shadow played EXACTLY like Tails and Sonic, right?
Also, I love games where there's extra stuff to do after beating the main story. You don't have to A Rank every level in Sonic, but you're rewarded if you choose to do so.

Sonic Spinball was fucking HARD!
I'd like to see Spinball 3D, actually.
