Nostalgia is almost always good, particularly when it's easily accessible and free. Website Pica Pic features ports of a variety of Game & Watch-esque, retro handheld games that can be played right from your browser.
Each of the devices has had its buttons mapped to the keyboard. High scores are also tracked, a feature that obviously was never included in any of these games, some of which date back to the early '80s.
The project was put together by Hipopotam Studio (which also operates a rather confusing website that occasionally plays clips from random episodes of The X-Files, among other things).
More games are on the way, including Zelda Game & Watch from 1989, so this looks like a site you'll want to keep bookmarked. |

Probably not, but it's a pretty neat idea regardless.

I wonder what Nintendo will have to say about 1UP linking to this.

I hope they get around to this one (wish I still owned it):
and I also remember playing the cookie juggling game on this thing all the time; more than I ever used the calculator.

God that TMNT game gave me fits of rage when I was little. As did the Mega Man and Sonic one.

I had Sonic 3 and Super Street Fighter II. I was so happy when I finally got a Gameboy.

Does the sound stay off between pressing on and off because I want to say my mom ripped the Sound button off my games and then when the batteries had to be changed she pressed it with a paper clip or her nail.

I couldn't tell you, that thing was busted and thrown in the trash over ten years ago.

These games sucked so bad but for some reason I had a ton of them. Shonobi was probably my favorite followed by TMNT.
Sideway, your sig is giving me seizures.

 No, I don't think I will fuck Stummies. |

I had one based on Virtua Cop. It had a tiny light gun that didn't even have a proper handle. I don't remember if I got it to work, but I do remember being frustrated by it either way.

Getting one of these is a red flag that your parents don't love you.
