I had it up until yesterday.
It's great and fancy but I think I'll hold off on it for a few weeks until more plugins become compatible with it

I never understood why plugins would wait until after the release to be pushed.
Once the RC comes out, they are safe to be developed and in most cases, they just need to say that they can handle up to version 4.0, one line of code change.

I'm going to get this when I go home and compare it to Chrome, see if it's worth switching back. I guess you can't have too many browsers, right?

I agree, they should've been upgrading since the beta. But hey, what're ya gonna do.

I actually use both firefox and chrome. I hardly ever decide which one to use, I just click on whatever and when Chrome can't handle something I switch back to firefox for a little while and vice versa

My firefox 4 seems to be fucked. Assistance requested.
Anything animated seems to flash black like crazy, and if I scroll up and down a page, it flashes black.
I have the most Current Video Drivers available.
Running Windows 7 SP1
Intel Core i5 CPU M520 @ 2.40Ghz
4GB of RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 1GB
This only happens when using the NEW Firefox 4, and not on the previous version.

As long as remove profile meant tell firefox to delete everything including bookmarks, passwords and blah blah.
Steps complete, and still same problem.
Using the newest Google Chrome right now with no problems, but I've always been a Firefox guy and would rather use it.

1. Uninstall Normally
2. Reboot
3. Do the following cleaning:
Delete: %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Mozilla\
Delete: %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\
Delete: %programfiles(x86)%\Mozilla Firefox\
Delete: %programfiles%\Mozilla Firefox\
4. Download a new copy of Firefox 4
5. Install and report
6. If it still doesn't work, check and make sure your video card driver is up to date.

Click the Firefox Menu -> Options -> Options -> Advanced ->
* If it is checked please uncheck the Smooth Scrolling option.
* Additionally, if it is unchecked, please check Use hardware acceleration when available

Hit the orange "Firefox" button (at the top left of the browser), highlight "Options," and uncheck "Tabs on Top."
I think I'll keep my tabs on top for now, since it gives me more window space, but it's good that they included the old setup.
So far I'm definitely likin' the update.

Smooth Scrolling was already Unchecked. I tried it check, same result so I went and unchecked it.
Hardware Acceleration was already checked as well.
EDIT: I'm not sure exactly how I fixed it, but I went and changed my windows theme to default and then back to my Alienware theme, and now, no issues.
No flickering/flashing address bars or screens.
Weird.
Appreciate the help though GP.

Well, I have used Firefox 4 since the first Beta release, and I am loving it. I have had no problems at all. Yay!

It breaks ImgLikeOpera, one of the extensions I use the most. Beware.
[Edit]Ignore this; someone came up with a hacked version that works for 4.

For me, as long as AdBlock, DownThemAll and the Read It Later extension works, I am happy. I also might see if Speed Dial for Firefox still works.

Personally, I just don't like the new layout. Was it REALLY necessary to switch around the home abd bookmark button? Especially when they were so wonderfully easy and accessible before? Sigh.
I just hate how they handle bookmarks in general...there's not nearly as much room on the bookmark toolbar anymore, and you can't access the "overflow" from the bookmark toolbar from the side the way you could before. What the hell, Mozilla?
EDIT: Messed around with settings to move the buttons back where I like 'em. That makes me feel better. At least Mozilla was nice enough to give you the option to switch it around.

Huh? Can someone give a screenshot of it? Didn't hear about that feature.
However, I have heard about App Tabs, which are for tabs that you would like to keep open (webmail, facebook, twitter). It is activated by right clicking a tab, and clicking 'Make into App Tab'
